I live in the area and have eaten at this restaurant many times. If you match up the food to authentic Sichuan food, it will be in want. However, compared to other places in Shijiazhuang, it's not bad. Service is so-so, comparable to most restaurants in China that don't cater to foreigners. Be prepared to call a waiter... don't expect them to check on you.I've had many dishes on the menu, and have never been disappointed. Pick some that look good (there are pictures on the menu), and you will most likely enjoy the result!

It was the only open restaurant close to the hotel. The portions were big and the food was really delicious. The final check was very cheap.

Had a wonderful evening at Quan Ju De which specialises in traditional Peking Duck. It was absolutely delicious and fun to watch my duck being carved up in front of me. So was the service from the waitresses who bustled around me doing their very best to help despite the fact I didn't speak any Chinese and they only a little English. It was all part of the fun for me of an authentic Chinese dining experience, and for them too I think as they were gigglingly friendly. Quan Ju De is a chain restaurant so you can find this delicious food in other cities as well, though maybe not quite the same fun of ordering though a delightful language barrier. Yet again I was surprised and delighted by how friendly and helpful everyone was!
