A restaurant we'd planned to go to on a road trip through Mississippi was not open so we were looking for a quick lunch spot. This restaurant looked like it used to be a Dairy Queen, so the looks did not bring us in but the reviews sounded pretty good. You order at the counter from the menu on the wall, helpful staff answered our questions...gizzards, livers, fried bologna sandwiches, chicken fried steak, all that stuff. You're given a number and then go and find a seat. Two of us ordered a fried bologna sandwich for an appetizer (haha), catfish basket and grilled chicken salad. All were very good and served within 10 minutes or so and brought to your table.

I had heard from another worker on my job that this place had a really good pulled pork sandwich. I arrived at 11AM and the place was empty. The pit was not being used. There wasn't anybody cooking bbq. But they did have product. Leftovers. The pork was not pit roasted but baked in an oven ... no flavor. The fat was congealed. The sauce is NOT homemade by any means. One bite was enough. It's a long stretch just to give them an average rating. They are very nice people. The restaurant is clean. Right across the street from them is a gas station with better pork bbq ... that should say enough.

I have eaten here several times. The ribs are usually ready between 10-11 AM. They cook fresh everyday. There isn't any seating. It's all take out. Don't think you can drive down the road and eat these ribs ... !! It would be akin to texting and driving. They have rolls of paper towels at the check out ... make sure you get enough. Very affordable with friendly staff. I wish it was my franchise !!!

Four ladies and one guy (myself) that had all lived in Alaska during the pipeline years gathered at Family Fish House for a reunion dinner. It couldn't have been any better. Service was top shelf. We ordered a variety of items ... catfish ... shrimp ... oysters .... fries, slaw, hush puppies. All the food was really tasty. The Simmons catfish was prepared perfectly. Shrimp and oysters very good. The fries ... they do something special with those !! Everything arrives all at once and piping hot. In all it was very enjoyable.

It was ALL good. Friendly lady making the subs. Fresh product. Restaurant is clean. Service is excellent. I've eaten here possibly a half dozen times while traveling on I-55. Each visit has been a pleasant experience. There is a little lady working in there alone most times. And she is a worker! She takes pride in her work and it shows. She deserves recognition.

This is a great place to eat. If you are that health conscious person this is the place to go. Wonderful choices of fresh vegetables. Fresh baked bread and very tasty salads.

Most of their sandwiches are excellent. Their cost is reasonable. Plenty of choices. But the one thing I get from them is they do not change their deep fryer grease very often and the fries and other fried foods often tastes rancid. I'd call them and ask for their schedule of changing the deep fryer grease and visit soon after.

Food at Burger king is, for the most part, good. They fries are like fried cardboard, but the Whopper is the one thing that has never changes in all of their history. Aside from being a little less juicy it is still as tasty now as it was in 1963. Sad thing is they can't seem to get your order right 50% of the time. They make you pull up from the drive through even though there is no cars behind you.

For Mississippi, there is NO BETTER PLACE to obtain authentic Mexican dining. There is Atmosphere, a bar, really good food and friendly staff. ALL of them speak Spanish and don't mind you trying out your rusty Spanish on them. They even have a 1:1 scale Palomino Horse Statue to sit your kid on for a photo op. This is a surprising Gem in a podunk town.
