Wonderfully renovated restaurant & menu, now with lots more than just burgers. Fresh salads, kebabs, mouth watering steaks cooked to absolute perfection, with crispy fresh slaw, salad & fries - my daughter ate a stunning cheese burger with sweet potato fries & my husband ate the Allstar burger - everyone loved their meals - highly recommend this place - great staff, knowledgeable about their products!! Firstly I have used the Firehouse over the years every year, and every year had a difference experience, I keep going back so something must be right. Brilliant small bar offering great cocktails and different drinks, most of the staff are young chatty and enthusiastic, so great for a few drinks and then order some food. The food frustrates me, you can do so much better, you order a steak 8oz Fillet £22.50 and then the price increases for onion rings, potato side, then a sauce, IS IT THAT GOOD £35.00 for a steak, fries, onion rings, sauce, salad. HMMM it just frustrates me, I do feel slightly robbed, The surroundings and bar and choice make this a must visit and also the friendly back packing type of staff. Maybe next year we will have drinks but not food, or really study the menu for better value.

We have been here before and are never disappointed, two evening meals and a Sunday Lunch this time. The food and service is excellent and reasonably priced, much better value for money and quality than the Clowance Restaurant. A great selection of Real Ales, 4 different ones available with two I had not tried before. We cannot recommend St Aubyn's Arms highly enough and will be coming again.
