Find out what Asian restaurants to try in Wahiawa. Wahiawa (Hawaiian: Wahiawā) is a census-designated place (CDP) in Honolulu County, Hawaii, United States, on the island of Oahu. It is located in the Wahiawa District, on the plateau or "central valley" between the two volcanic mountains that comprise the island. In Hawaiian, wahi a wā means "place of noise", perhaps a reference to the fact that heavy surf on the North Shore could be heard from here, or to the sounds of the ancient military training exercises conducted on these plains. The population was 17,821 at the 2010 census.

When in North Shore, you just have to eat off the food trucks...its a must! There are so many choices and as I was driving down the main road, I saw the Korean BBQ truck. I turned around and had to give it a try. The aromas are amazing, coming from this truck. It took some time, but I chose the Bulgogi Tacos. Great decision on my part! The flavours are incredible and I couldn't stop eating. I also ordered the Sunset Beach Smoothie. I am sure this is their best seller...yummy!Don't let the minimal number of reviews, or ranking keep you away from this truck. It will surprise you! I have reviewed many food trucks and this one did surprise me, in the most pleasant way.

After visiting Ranjanee in Haleiwa and falling in love with the food and enjoying the casual but intimate setting. We decided to try their other location in mililani. While I will admit I was somewhat disappointed it was not a restaurant rather a take out with 3 small tables out front. I had a feeling the food would also dissapoint but was gladly mistaken. It was just as good as I had hoped. Again my only complaint was I was hoping to have a nice sit down meal with my wife sharing amazing food but ended up eating out of Styrofoam containers at a tiny table out front, but we made the best of it. Now we know where to get some Fri night take out.

On a drive from Waikiki to North Shore last week, we stopped to explore the neighborhoods of Mililani and found Nagoya Ramen & Bakery tucked inside a strip mall. Their baked goods looked wonderful, but we were hankering for an authentic Ramen set for lunch and they did not dissapoint. The chicken Katsu and pork Gyoza were both excellent. The shoyu stock was flavorful, ramen noodles al dente. The ramen toppings were average: A hard boiled egg instead of soft and the sliced pork was okay. All in all, an excellent food adventure and it was nice to get away from the crowds in Waikiki and experience a local's favorite. The prices were very cheap. We treated ourselves afterward to a shaved ice two stores down.

Make sure to check under the foil in the bottom of your styrofoam tray before tossing it. There are usually 2 pieces of tempura like pieces under there. If you do take out you wikl get a clear plastic container or rice and a smaller container of marinated radish. My husband prefers to order from here instead of the other korean restaurant a few doors down. If you dine in you get tastier side dishes than the typical kim chee, bean sprouts and cabbage.

Reviving the legacy of the Haleiwa Eats Thai, Rajanee Thai offers a quaint menu reminiscent of the childhood memories of our mentor and inspiration, Chef Rajanee. Served up with a funky, modern twist courtesy of her son, Chef Kenny...Rajanee Thai is not y
We were visiting the North Shore but first we wanted to eat! My son recommended Rajanee as he had eaten here several times. The restaurant wasnât fancy by any means...French doors along the entire front side were open, the colors eclectic. Donât let that fool you!! The green and yellow Curryâs were to die for as were the sides of cocoanut rice! The shrimp Pad Thai was equally delicious and the portions ample! Our server was hipster/hippie and was very knowledgeable about each and every menu item. He was also very efficient and friendly. One last note-BYOB as they do not serve alcohol. You can pop into the general store a few doors down and grab your beverage of choice to drink with your meal. We will return again before leaving the island. If you love Thai food you will love Rajanee Thai Haleiwa!
Good Korean food, but not the best in Wahiawa. They should serve fly swatters with the food.

Menu seems a localized. I ordered the Goi Ga (chicken salad). Normally made with shredded cabbage, lettuce was used here. It was still tasty and actually the chicken was very good. Service was a bit spotty.

I was so excited about this visit to the Dong Yang Inn in Wahiawa town because the photos taken of their food looked great! I've been slowly introduced to a number of Korean dishes and was really excited about trying their spicy beef soup (yookaejang).Watching everyone else being served their platters of Meat Chun or BBQ Meat made me even more anxious! Finally, my soup arrived, which I ordered "spicy hot", and it was a sea of red happiness...until I took my first few sips of their soup. I was disappointed, expecting a parade of flavors to erupt in my mouth, but ended up having to add more salt to add flavor to a pretty bland soup base that seemed to have maybe some beef broth and maybe some veggies...not what I had expected. The four star rating is because of speed of service, reasonable prices, and quantity of foods in your order. I would go back but to try other dishes, not the soup.

Voted one of Oahu's best by Honolulu Star Advertiser 7 consecutive years, BANZAI Sushi Bar is truly one of Haleiwa's best kept secrets. Tucked away in a back corner of the North Shore Marketplace, casual fine dinning, outdoor covered seating with Japanese
Might be the best sushi or poke on the island of Oahu. If you are not into raw fish they also have other dishes. Seating is either Japanese style, cushions on the floor or at tables. The service was excellent. Nice drive to get there up the North Shore.
