After three years living in Korea one of the things we missed most was the food, especially what is commonly known as Korean BBQ. I found Spoon Korean Kitchen on Yelp and we decided to give them a try. The first time we didn't have a reservation and after an hour wait we had to leave. This time, we gave them a call and walked in to our table. As on our last visit, they were VERY busy so I will forgive some of the waitstaff inattention. Everything was completely authentic; my wife commented that every time she took a bite she felt like she was back in our favorite restaurant in Korea. We ordered the Combo B which was listed as food for two. It was easily enough for two and probably could have fed three. In addition to the meats, there were plenty of sides. Unfortunately, Hawaii inflates the cost a bit over Korean prices so we won't be eating here too often but we definitely plan to come again.

They have a new owner now and the food is different. They added in Vietnamese food with the Japanese food and tje prices went up. It was better before they changed management. Wouldn't really recommend this place. You can go to Kabuki and get better food.
Tonight we found Tianoâs after a long day of sightseeing. We were tired and hungry. Most of our group enjoyed what they ordered. I ordered the crabcakes and was very disappointed. My husband enjoyed his stir fry and my daughter enjoyed her quesadilla ... not sure we will go back though. There were lots of locals in the restaurant so maybe I just picked the wrong thing.
In 2001 our company started as a small market selling fresh island produce and Asian grocery products. We had a kitchen at the back of the store and one day a customer asked about the wonderful aroma of Thai cooking being prepared by my wife and asked if
We visited this nice restaurant at dinner time. The curry I had was delicious and the fried rice my wife had it was very good too. We didn't wait too much for being served and the waitress answered all questions we had, very politely. Prices are fair.If I live in town I will go as much as possible. Recomended place for Tai. Go early as The place get busy early.

Shiros is hands down the best Saimin on Oahu. Friendly servers who really know the menu. The items have numbers and titles, just for fun order by the title and the waiter/waitress will repeat it back to you with the number. There are about 60 items on the menu. Also there are little sayings posted in frames on the wall that all begin with: Dear Friends. The noodles are fresh made in house and full of flavor. Locals and tourists alike flock to this place, as well they should, you will not find a better Saimin house anywhere in Hawaii.

If you're a true sushi connoisseur or sushi snob, you would probably never eat at Genki Sushi. For myself, Genki would rate a notch above fast food. It's not exactly the freshest or best seafood and I don't think anyone would say it is. I eat at Genki if I need a quick sushi fix to kill a craving and not because it's good sushi. I can easily spend $50 by myself so it's not cheap either.

We stopped in night two in Oahu and within ten minutes of ordering we had our dishes. My daughter had the kids ramen which was enormous and definately more than she needed but that just means great value. I had the spicy shrimp and the heat was perfect enough to clear the sinuses but not so hot it ruined the flavor. My wife had the chicken katsu ramen and enjoyed it but again to much food to come close to finishing. Another bonus was the gyozas were free with our orders and we're quite good. Definately recommend to someone wanting an authentic Japanese ramen experience.

I probably tried almost all their items but my fave is now the Kalbi. I love that theyâre bite size enough that you can have different varieties in one seating and not feel guilty hehehe. Itâs also fun sorting what flavor youâre getting. But they draw a legend on the box to identify the pieces.
