Relatively lack-luster server who was English-language-challenged was not especially helpful with menu questions. Food arrived: generous bowl of ramen with satisfying flavor. Gyoza was light and delicate, so uniform that they were clearly machine made off-site. Chicken katsu curry boasted an authentic Japan flavor. The trip past the kitchen curtain to the grimy restroom sent chills of sanitation concerns. See photos.
Where to eat Healthy food in Kailua: The Best Restaurants and Bars
This is not your typical barbecue. The meat is not shredded, but comes in nice big slices. We tried the brisket which was good, the Kalbi brisket which had a mild Asian flavor and the pork belly. The pork belly was our favorite with lots of flavor and juiciness. They give you all their dipping sauces to try and thatâs so fun. The flavors of the sauces are so unique like the Kailua Green with cilantro and Thai curry. It has a little kick. The Classic Over Easy is a nice Barbecue sauce if you arenât adventurous. Our favorite was the Crackseed BBQ sauce with fruit and vinegar. It was really an interesting, refreshing flavor. Their side dishes were amazing. Both slaws, creamy and vinegar, were refreshing and flavorful. The okra was a little slimy but satisfying. Itâs was pickled just perfectly for a good taste. Our favorite side dish was the smoked brussel sprouts. Yum! Weâll definitely go back and take pictures to share. We were so eager to try things on our first visit we forgot to take pictures. This is not a huge restaurant and they do not take reservations. Parking is limited in their lot but if youâre willing to walk a bit there is parking near by. They do take phone orders.
We specialize is delicious Platters, Burgers, Salads & Tacos. Some spicy and all are flavorful. Asian Fusion Tacos, Thai, Jerk, and Shoyu Garlic flavors. Fresh homemade sides.
We had lunch here last week and it was very good. Prices are fair and the pineapple was so fresh! They give you two taco shells which was excellent to hold everything together! Head over and tell them hello from Florida! It was great fun to see all the food trucks in one area.Mahalo for coming by & enjoying lunch with us!
