Haleʻiwa is located on Waialua Bay, the mouth of Anahulu Stream (also known as Anahulu River). A small boat harbor is located here, and the shore of the bay is surrounded by Haleʻiwa Beach Park (north side) and Haleʻiwa Aliʻi Beach Park (south side). Further west from the center of town is Kaiaka State Recreation Area on Kiaka Point beside Kaiaka Bay. As of the 2010 census, the CDP had a population of 3,970. Its old plantation town character is preserved in many of the buildings, making this a popular destination for tourists and residents alike, visiting surfing and diving sites along the north shore.

It's a very small restaurant, with extremely helpful and friendly staff. We tried the Hawaiian plate. The pork was tender and juicy, and the Poi was fresh. We also tried the spicy Ahi tuna. We were not disappointed. They gave us big portions, and the cost was reasonable.

This local tavern has a typical North Shore vibe and appears fairly new.The menu is not very broad and has local dishes (which is why you would go here). We ordered the short rib plater and Kalua pork with cabbage with some drinks. The Kalua pork dish was good. Pulled pork is served over lightly pickled cabbage with rice on the side. The cucumber side dish was okay, but some of the cucumber was old and shouldn’t have been served. The short rib plate was bad. The ribs were tough…close to inedible. When the server was informed of the situation, there was no effort to correct the situation… no apology, no offer to replace with another dish… nothing.I can understand poor quality meat slipping by, but there is no excuse for poor service. Cannot recommend.Aloha Casilva54. Sorry to hear about your experience. Our cook mentioned that he had to switch distributors of our Short Rib due to the poor quality of one of the shipments. I assume this was the one you ate. I apologize about our server. They should have informed the cook, manager or the owner and we would have comped you or done something to ensure that you wouldn't have to go home hungry. If you do come back again, please show this review to your server and Ill personally comp a single meal during your next visit. Mahalo!

Stormy’s

Along with many from our tour group, my wife and I ate lunch here. We sat at a high table with six others from our tour. Our tour director had recommended Stormy's. My wife ordered a large salad with shrimp; I ordered a black bean burger with sweet potato fries. The burger had cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and avocado. The food all tasted good, but the servings were so huge that we should have split something. Also, my burger fell apart as I was eating it. This was a decent place to eat, although our service was a bit slow, as I recall, which made us the last to get back to our bus.

We came across this place after having the shaved ice and could really go for a proper meal to get rid of all that sugar in our system. We found Fatboy's tucked away off the main road and had their tuna salad. Was actually really good! The place wasn't busy whatsoever and we enjoyed that aspect of it.

Bigger portion than a sit-down restaurant at a reasonable price. Taste was never compromised despite being a food truck. Service was much faster than the highly overrated Giovanni’s right next to it. One bit of warning: If you cannot handle an outdoor seating with flies, birds, and a rooster lurking around for bits of your food, I would not recommend this place (or any of the famous food trucks). My wife was in panic by the time the food came out, we had to drive to a nearby strip mall and eat in our car with windows rolled up and AC going. But, the tasty food made it all worthwhile.

Oh man, wow. The fish is incredible. Poke seemed kind of strange when I first heard about it but it's so delicious, and this food truck has some excellent poke. We also had marlin on tacos and man, it's so good. It's incredible. Great choice. Of course, all of the food trucks here have something great to offer.

Started off lunch with a delicious Bloody Mary. Thick tomato taste with a kick, just like I like it. The sandwich of the day was a fresh caught Ahi tuna salad melt on a toasted Taro bun. I split that with my sister and she ordered the Cajun fish sandwich in a soft taro bun. Both were absolutely delicious. The Cajun fish was just spicy enough and the soft taro bun had that sweet Hawaiian bread taste you know and love. No more pricy then anywhere else in town for lunch. We were hoping to get back one day for one of the Benedict’s for breakfast and another Bloody Mary, but weren’t able to.
