$40 for breakfast for two seems pricey, even for outside of Waikiki. No question that the food was good. I had the meatloaf loco moco with fried rice (+$2.00). Spouse had an omelet with two types of meat and cheese. Salsa was extra. Service was a bit spotty on a Tuesday morning. It's been better there. But it is a popular choice for breakfast and there was a wait. Good food, usually great service but don't expect cheap eats.

Nine of my family dropped in on a rainy day for great food, great service and fun staff. We loved the blueberry french toast. Eggs benedict in different varieties was also very good. It was a fun brunch.

Came here for our last meal before leaving Oahu. Small, unassuming place which made it hard to find. I could be wrong, but we didnt see any signs except for a small one on the front door. We got here around 9am on a Monday and the place was beginning to fill up. I got the loco moco, which was tasty but not any different from any other loco moco I've had. The crispy rice on the bottom of the skillet was a nice touch though. The gf and the kid shared the bibimbap, which they enjoyed. We noticed the portions were a bit on the small side. 2 entrees and 1 guava juice for close to 40 dollars. Service was decent, nothing special. There is a parking lot with metered parking.
Stopped by for lunch and really enjoyed the food. Their ice teas were really good - especially the Iilikoi. Our sandwiches were both on really tasty fresh bread. The prosciutto was awesome. Definitely worth a quick stop in Kailua, and it was a nice bonus that we can bring our pups with us when we sit outside!

Came here for breakfast and was quite impressed. First off the short stack pancake is only one cake for a reason, itâs the size of a plate! The pancakes and omelette sweet delicious, we even enjoyed the left overs later in the day (as they are huge). The one thing preventing a five star review is the fact that we saw our waitress once and that was to take our order, no refills, no âhow is everythingâ and we had to have another waitress find ours to pay the bill. Would recommend this place for breakfast even with the poor service!

This restaurant is on the east side of the island. Located in Kailua. Get here early. It definitely gets crowded. We waited 45 minutes. We had loco moco and fish (not in the menu). The flavor was really good. Pancakes looked huge and yummy. Cash only.

Stop by this market when headed to/from Kailua or Lanikai Beaches to grab a great cold brew coffee, a cold drink, take-out lunch fare, etc. Located on the round-about closest to the parking lots for Kailua Beach, you won't miss this quintessentially local market. There is parking available, and a small patio area to enjoy your food.

Kalapawai Cafe and Deli can easily be missed.... it is hidden along the side of Kailua Road with its small parking lot.Place your order at the counter from the posted food items. You then place your beverage order and pay your tab. There are pastries and a small bar. This visit we ordered a Pastrami on Rye.... very good.Service is friendly and efficient.

Really good service, food, and not bad on the wallet. Nothing you can do about the wait on the weekends...

This little unprepossessing eatery is well worth a stop if you're looking for somewhere to grab lunch in Waimanalo Beach. Friendly staff, a rustic interior and a sensible menu. We were more than happy with our chicken, pesto and avocado sandwiches, full of fresh ingredients, and organic lemonade. Yummy.
