The concept Alex factory is based on linking tourism with nature. There are already five nice rooms near Wimereux and Wissant waiting to be discovered, containing a marvellous blend of natural materials and contemporaring architecture. The Eurotunnel is only 15 minutes from here !
We discovered this charming and very well kept B&B in a region we love to explore, en tête-à-tête, or with the kids and our big doggy. Alex Factory offers both the authentic countryside experience with its newly renovated farm and large estate, in a preserved inland area, very close to the actual coast and 2 Caps - as well as a spa feel for relaxation and its comfortable bedrooms. Our experience included very nice interactions with the owner, attention to details, care to present fresh produce from the farm or nearby producers (ask about the cheese factory of the same family, worth a visit!), at breakfast and on a delicious menu, on specific evenings. We will certainly return soon!

The castle is an old mansion located 9 km from the sea, near Saint Valery sur Somme, 15 km from Mers-les-Bains / TreportThe building is surrounded by a park of 11000 m2 closed and includes a cottage and 5 rooms with different themes (for 2 to 4 people as bedrooms ).
The hosts Dominique and Jerome were most welcoming and helpful. Our one week stay was very enjoyable. We found the chateau a good base for the attractions of the bay of the Somme although it is in a very rural location. (By the way do not expect a castle when you see the word "chateau", but an interesting country house). The rooms are comfortable and each one is individualistically furnished and decorated. The breakfasts are first class with bread and pastries fresh from the bakery. The shared breakfast table offers a good opportunity to meet your fellow guests. We enjoyed food of a high standard on the evenings we had prearranged to dine in. The Kota grill indoor barbecue is a must if you are staying a few days - a true meat feast. The property features a sauna and a spa pool which we did not use. There is no swimming pool. The enterprising host also runs a quad bike business on site, and he is a member of a local blues band.

A stylish, welcoming bed & breakfast (chambres d'hotes) in a renovated 18th-century 'hotel particulier' within the ancient walls of Montreuil-Sur-Mer, France. Supper available on request.
A return trip to this delightful 18th century town house. On previous occasions we have stayed in the Pasteur room which is very comfortable and quiet. This time we had the Sarazin suite - a beautiful loft space with lots of the eclectic style of Maison76 that we have come to expect - soft grey and white paintwork to complement the antiques and art work. The suite has a dressing room, bedroom/sitting area and a bathroom with a massive tin bath as well as a modern shower. It overlooks the garden and is reached by a back staircase through the kitchen - so very private and quiet but would not be suitable if you have mobility issues. This is our first summer visit having enjoyed several winter breaks here. It was great to be able to enjoy the charming enclosed garden for a glass of wine before we set out for dinner. In less clement weather there is an elegant drawing room for the guests - I love the chairs upholstered with Tintin fabric. The welcome has always been really warm here. Tim has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the area and loves his food and wine - he is very happy to both recommend and book local restaurants for your stay. His advice is sound, so take it. There is no on site parking but plenty of free on street parking in the surrounding side streets - we have never had a problem getting a space within 5 minutes of the front door. Montreuil sur Mer is a real gem - a walled town with a lot of charm. Do take a stroll around the ramparts for views of the surrounding countryside and a birds eye view of the jumble of roofs in town. Better still it is not just a tourist town but is a real town where people live and work with a lively market at the weekend. It is graced with a lot of good restaurants across a range of prices. The local countryside has many beautiful bucolic river valleys to explore and the local tourist board can provide walking routes to help you on your way. The coastal towns (some 20-30 mins away) are well worth a visit. We have just had a 6 day break and found lots to do and enjoy. Overall this is a great find - beautiful house, comfortable accommodation and a delightful host. Highly recommended.

While we have been in the area countless times only stumbled on it recently, it is a lovely complex of rooms suites and apartments. A good pool and nice garden area and only yds/Ms away from one of our favourite restaurants, the Blanc Nez. On arrival I was told our room was on the second floor but on finding out about my medical condition the host immediately changed us to a ground floor studio at no extra tra cost. The hosts have been there for 25 years and obviously do everything they can for their guests, all with a smile . Highly recommended and we'll be back

We went there to celebrate a special event and absolutely loved it. Nice surroundings, very quiet, free WiFi, save parking and all this within minutes from the town center. We had a very large room with a king size bed. Very clean. The most enjoyable feature was the warm and friendly welcome by the hostess. Breakfast (continental) was gorgeous. If you do have the choice of hotels, this one will not let you down. We plan to go again.

A very welcoming old house of typical northern France architecture. Isabelle is very hospitable and we had a lovely spacious room overlooking the garden at the rear. We had a comfortable, large bed and slept very well. Breakfast was a tremendous spread of bread, croissants, cheese jam and other things. Specially good was the fresh orange juice. The pity was we could only stay one night.

Very close to the Golf, in a recently built top-quality Canadian style house, four very large rooms, with king size beds, private bathrooms ( with bath, shower,w.C)Flat screen television, wifi free access. For the breakfast, the owners propose you home-made confiture and a very attractive French breakfast. In the summer you have the possibility to use the heated outside pool.
I had read great reviews about this house and it mostly reached expectations. It was well tucked away and we were thankful for the Sat. Nav. In a lovely quiet residential area backing onto a forest. I would not normally stay in a guest house, but this one seemed to have it all. The rooms were fantastic, so large and the bathrooms were massive and all modern and lovely and clean. The view to the back over the gardens and forest was very restful and how many guest houses have a pool? I was willing to try this one, and it is heated but we did not have the chance. Lovely touches in the rooms with beautiful china and lots of coffee/tea options. They have a cat and a dog and they do notify people beforehand about this. I read about fantastic breakfasts but I was disappointed with the continental only option although it was good. We would have killed for something cooked! I also mention this but it may seem petty to some, but if you do not like to share your breakfast at the same table with others, then perhaps you should give this a miss. Otherwise, I can see the appeal. The hosts were helpful.
