We stayed for one night in a family room. It was clean and comfortable and light. The owner cooked a 3 course dinner for all guests and made a reasonable attempt at vegetarian food. Breakfast was 'help yourself' and was excellent. The best things were relaxing in bed listening to cow bells ringing in the distance and just soaking up the amazing atmosphere on the mountain. Very friendly and helpful owner . A bit of a bad plumbing smell in the room was the only negative.

Gite Auberge les Cascades is a quiet and lovely gite d'étapes. We have 5 bedroom . 2 double bedroom 3 family bedroom with bunkbed, breakfast included. We serve lunch and diner all days on reservation . We have a bar. We are the new manager. Karine and Gilles
We loved staying here, good location just 5 mins down the hill from the ski resort. Karine and Gilles were exceptional hosts. We ended up eating there every evening. Wonderful food and great company. We had planned to eat on the mountain but glad we didn’t.

We (5 adults) stayed for one night on our tramp of the GR10. We stayed in the dormitory room on the third floor. The whole gite is renovated, the room was pleasant with lots of space for us, showers with hot water. Good tasty food- a casserole of duck and broad white beans, soup.. and salad. Quiet - close to center of town but no cars on plaza so ideal for quiet and location. The lady running the gite was very nice and helpful. The gite has various rooms- two dormitory rooms, at least one double room with in-suite and I think there were more. If we come again we will say here again!

La grange au bois is an exceptional place, located on the way up to Tourmalet but on a small hill away from traffic. The host is extremely friendly & helpful. We stayed there for 3 days and thanks to his recommendations we discovered great places for hiking, which were also ok for the kids. The family room we stayed in had all comfort needed and food for dinner was excellent! When leaving this place our kids asked us to go back there next year :)

Very warm welcome from the owners. Quiet room at the back of the hotel, small but they have done the best they can with the space. Super clean! Breakfast was good and plentiful, the presentation was beautiful! Good place for a nights stop on the road.

Charming bed and breakfast located in a historic building from 1850 at the foot of the French Pyrenees mountains. Spacious garden with hammocks and pick nick table under the walnut trees. All rooms have a private bathroom with bath or shower, TV and wardrobe. Breakfast is included and served each morning in the communal area. Here you can also find a coffee/tea corner where you can take these hot beverages 24 hours per day for free. Comfortable sofa's are placed around the fireplace where you can find boardgames and a small book exchange with French, English and Dutch books. The private parking area is located next to the property and to use free of charge. The area is famous for walking, cycling and spa's with thermal water. The pilgrimage town Lourdes is only 45 minutes drive away and National Park 'Cirque de Gavarnie' just under 2 hours drive. Both are excellent day trips, easily undertaken from Domaine Lou Castet. There are many touristic highlights in the area (castles, caves...)
I stayed for two nights in this place on a solo motor trip through the southwest of France and it was the best experience of my entire trip. Treated like a king by Iko and Lydia. The hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable, the food is great but above all, the hosts are wonderful. Will be back soon!

If you're looking for a tranquil experience in the French countryside this is the place. Corinne and Michel gave us an authentic feeling of living a la Francais! Their 200 yrs home is warm and inviting. Corinne served meals that were regional to the area. Breakfasts were hearty with fresh fruits from the garden and homemade jams, cheeses and meats. Thank you Corinne and Michel for a wonderful week! Rick and Cathy Bayles
