Little and agreeable hotel in The Haute -Marne on the bank of an old canal. The hotel is easy to reach. Located in the countryside and very quiet. Large and confortable room. Continental breakfast. Large carpark. I particularly appreciated the cleanliness in this pandemic period. The personnel is friendly and applies the protective mesures conscientiously.

Absolutely wonderful food. The Menu Marche was about 25 euros and we started with delicious amuse bouche followed by starter, main and pudding; all brilliantly prepared and served. If your looking for somewhere special this is it.

It’s not every night you sleep in a four poster bed in a C13 building! Auberive is a picturesque village built around the abbey - which is 3 or 4 miles off the motorway near Langres (about 5 hours drive south from Calais). The auberge is the original guest house to the old abbey and has 6 rooms. Our room was large and historic, but very comfortable and warm with a modern en suite shower and loo. Hairdryer also provided. Dinner (€43 per head for 4 courses) and breakfast were in a magnificent dining room with a vaulted ceiling and huge open log fire, approached through the medieval kitchens. The food, cooked by the lady owner, was superb as were the excellent selection of local wines. The lady owner is charming and made us feel extremely welcome. It was a more expensive stay than we might otherwise have chosen for an overnight stop on the way back from skiing, but it was a real treat and a wonderful experience. We would highly recommend it to others. You won’t be disappointed. Stayed March 2022

Enjoy the charms of the Champagne region and Burgundy, or simply make a comfortable stopover at a picturesque site on your way to the south of France, the Alps or Italy. Bed and breakfast Le Bailli offers you delightful comfortable accommodation where you can fully rest and relax. We are at short distance from the motorway A31, close to the main road from Langres to Dijon. As a stopover, your stay at Le Bailli requires in total just about 20 minutes extra time. Our spacious rooms are tastefully decorated and combine comfort with modernity. They are furnished with period furniture and equipped with comfortable beds with upscale home linen. All rooms feature a seating area with satellite TV, wireless internet, large storage space, private bathrooms with bath and / or shower and toilet. Rooms La Comtesse and Le Grenetier have interconnecting doors and can be booked together for a family or larger party.
The place is full of character as many have mentioned friendly hosts, lovely food. Especially ideal for us as we much preferred to travel in a bubble so the accommodation was perfect for that. We ate and drank well but the overall cost was very reasonable!

The proprietor Mr. Quackelbean was the best of hosts and nothing was too much trouble. It was like visiting family and we were always warmly welcomed and looked after. I say WAS because Mr. Quackelbean died...too young and the Hotel remains closed. We rarely eat out now.

We are at 12 km from Langres, the 5th beautiful city of France.
(English below) Mahtava vastaanotto, palvelu ja uloskirjaus. Lisäksi huone (tai huoneisto) oli ISO. Meidät jopa kuljetettiin lähimmälle pankkiautomaatille, kun käteistä ei ollut ihan tarpeeksi. Aivan huippu paikka. Great reception, service and check-out. In addition, the room (or apartment) was BIG. We were even transported to the nearest bank when there was not enough cash. Great place.

This 19th century generals’ house in the center of a rural village is a 10 min drive away from the vinyeards of Côte de Bar. It has a private safe parking, clean large wel equipped 60m2 rooms with bathroom - ours with a hamam, good working free wifi. The Flemish owners are really charming, great hosts, always ready to give tips. Belgian breakfast was all freshly made from juices, to choices of delicious bread, local cheeses, eggs, waffels, pancakes, etc. Dinner was absolutely delicious. Truly excellence!

This is the best 3 star hotel I've stayed at. Everything was done right. The rooms seem still freshly renovated, the bed is very comfy, the temperature inside the room was perfect for sleeping, the bed pillows nice and soft and the cotton duvet of a better quality than one would expect. Even the power outlets were where one would expect them, conveniently located for use. The bathroom was very clean, well designed, great water pressure, good amenities. There's a lot to be said for doing your job well at the level you're aiming at, and I was impressed by how many things this hotel does right. I've been annoyed on a number of occasions by much more expensive hotels who get basic things very wrong. Luxury does not equal usability, or cleanliness. The Vauxois gets everything right and they should be proud of that.
