Between Toulouse and the Pyrenees, the campsite is set on a ancient property of the 16th century. The land with its fields and forest parts covers more than 12 ha. At the one end the river Garonne flows by fringed by the wild "island" which is separated from the campsite by a small stream which used to lead to the ancient mill. This wild island on the board of the Garonne is the perfect place to walk your dog, enjoy the nature or fish.
Lovely little site with really friendly staff. We were only there for the one night en route to the mediterranean coast but we would have happily stayed longer. There are plenty of trees for shade and the kids loved the pool with the slides and jacuzzi. The kids were also well entertained by the table tennis, bouncy castle and games room which was free in the evening. There was a talented jazz band playing the evening we were there and this helped create a really lovely atmosphere in the central area which was busy but not overcrowded. Fresh bread was available to order from reception. We would gladly return.

Camping Pre Fixe Midi-Pyrenees is a family concept with 43 places, 4 stars qualified, situated in the Pyrenees Gascony region. Camping Pre Fixe is part of an environmentally friendly approach (member of campsites La Via Natura). Located in a small village of Comminges, natural and historic region of the French Pyrenees in Haute-Garonne, 1 hour from Toulouse and Tarbes and a few minutes from Aurignac. The situation of the campsite Pre Fixe offers the advantage of proximity to the Pyrenees, the towns of Toulouse, Albi, Lourdes, while ensuring the sweetness and calm of the Pyrenean foothills. Our campsite in Gascony offers: heated pool, restaurant with fresh products, wine bar (carefully selected), free WiFi around the bistro, grocery, games for young and old … Celine and Cyril offer a warm welcome and all the ingredients are gathered to make your stay a moment of perfect relaxation.
4 stars? Like the petrol? It's a tip at top prices. Mossed over pitches. Flies. Where they get the back to nature idea from, who knows? Virtually impossible to park motor on pitch and the Tesla driving Dutch bag the 5 offcamp spaces. Add on screaming French kids, hysterical Dutch teenage girls and up their bum Brits why stay here? 30 euro a night and a band with the worst Franglais renditions of Brit tracks. Drive by, save a bomb and get a decent rest. Tomorrow my EU mates I've got my airhorn ready, stand by your pits for the shock of your holidays.

We spent a blissful 5 nights stay in the Cabane Gorgone in August this year. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. We are a family of four (2 adults and 2 children aged 6 and 3) and our girls loved staying in a treehouse. Like many others have mentioned already, hoisting up the breakfast every morning was a real highlight and really unique. The cabane had lots of outside space and an outside loo (dry toilet) which was always spotless and handy for night times! Inside it was spacious. The girls loved the bunk beds and there was an incredible view of the sun rise from the window beside the lower bunk. The pool is beautiful... it kept our girls amused for hours and the pool area was so well kept. The barn and games room was fab... so much to do with pool (billiards), babyfoot and lots of games... plus there is a little children's play area behind the pool that backs on to a sunflower field. We made use of the kitchen on a number of evenings and it was ideal. No one else ever used it! Christophe and Marie were the perfect hosts and extremely hard working, ensuring that we always had everything we needed. And our girls loved Copain the dog (and would've taken him home if they could). A special mention for the restaurant. It was the best food we had on our whole 3 week holiday in France. Thank you! We hope to return again and have already recommended you to a lot of friends :-)

My wife and six children aged in summer 2020 between 14 and 11 months stayed here for 28 nights in our tent. We had booked before the Covid outbreak and decided to proceed with our stay. Clearly our experience in 2020 was far from normal given the pandemic had led to a collapse in bookings. Therefore the purpose of this review is to share what i feel may be of use to potential visitors knowing that my experience was not typical of a normal summer. The campsite is in a very rural and mountainous area and therefore cycling is best suited to motivated adults seeking views or very active teenagers. The campsite itself is not suitable for scooters or bikes as it descends from the entrance downhill so might also present issues for those with walking difficulty. The campsite is very neat and tidy and well maintained and shared areas are clean and showers satisfactory. The view from the clean pool and sun chairs is very pleasant and expansive and in general it is easy to relax at the site. This is a campsite in France run by English people so is not a textbook site from French schooldays. The hosts are kind, helpful and pleasant and obviously summer 2020 would have been quite different for them too and i presume somewhat of a disappointment in terms of visitor numbers. The area itself is pretty but there are a fairly limited amount of attractions. Also the weather is hot, 38 degrees sometimes and the heat will likely stifle all but the most ambitious of culture seekers. Nearby Foix with its castle is an easy and worthwhile day trip as is the Space museum in Toulouse. Narbonne plage is over 2 hours away but worth a visit for a day on the Mediterreanean. Auterive is the most convenient shopping town, with an excellent selection of supermarkets (about 20 minutes drive) though is somewhat uninteresting beyond the sheer novelty of being in France. Walks directly from the site are on quiet and scenic country roads and a car is essential for groceries. I would happily recommend the site for families seeking warm sunshine, good pitch sizes and a safe atmosphere. With or without children if you stay here you are going to need access to water just to cool down. There are lakes nearby and on water inflatable playgrounds as well as the campsite pool. You will need to use these on the very hot days. It was quiet when we were there so we never had trouble securing a sunbed or use of the pool. All in all i hope to return sometime in the future and miss immensely the long days in the sunshine as i write! When things get back to normal it would be an ideal sun worshipper break destination for even a short stay with Toulouse airport only 50 minutes away. The playground needs improvement but the pool table was huge hit in our family and was free at the point of use. Again the on site atmosphere would likely be very different to our experience in normal times but for someone wanting a quiet stay it might be a good opportunity this summer to try out camping in the sunshine knowing that you will have lots of space and a lovely pool to cool off in if the pandemic is still around!

Near Spain – Near Thermal Station- Starting point for hiking Here, it is the real campsite, no activity, but a quiet, warm and family campsite, a small structure where it is good to stay, forget the stress of modern life and ending up with real values: family, nature, friends… The Chantecler campsite, under ownership by Clara and Regis Hoc, would be more than delighted to have you, your family, and friends over this season.
A lovely, quiet site with spacious pitches. There is not much going on, no pool, but there are recreation areas and a meeting tent. Plus: Quiet Big pitches Well kept Good owners Clean showers and toilets Negative: Poor hot water, mostly lukewarm but never cold Wifi is chargeable and only usable in front of the office. This feels like a rip off, either have it chargeable all over the site or give it free. All in all, a good, well run site in a perfect location.. Finally, and not a reflection on the site or owners, not ideal for dog owners. Walking isn't the best.

A small town of 1520 inhabitants Boulogne-sur-Gesse is located in what we call the 'Comminges country' at the limit of the Gers and Hautes Pyrenees. A magnificent place to start any voyage of discovery, where there's just something on offer for everyone!
