Helpful .and hardworking to help me and my granddaughter..the staff from the front desk to the housekeepers.handy men .were so helpful to me and my granddaughter.thank you John and Gary for helping me with my car..they give my car a jump the we. Checked out.they did it with a smile on their faces..great staff.great prices clean rooms clean swimming pool..i told everyone to stay at this hotel....great place to stay....i will be back....thank you everyone for your awesome services.we grateful we had a awesome experience....kudos to yall all.stay here you'll love it!!!!!

Memorial Day Weekend Tournament
Reviewed By tara cMy mom and I traveled to NOLA for a rugby tournament and stayed at the Best Western in Harvey. The hotel was clean, pretty and accommodating. The staff was kind and attentive and the pool area was very nice. My ONLY complaint is the a/c in the rooms was very loud; it's an older establishment so I think that's why. If you like white noise when you sleep you will be fine but it made watching tv difficult and was generally just a bit too loud. I would not let it be a deterrent for booking again, as it was truly my only complaint.

No hair dryer
Reviewed By sdcnavyAsked twice and no one in this entire hotel can provide a hair dryer! Yes, a simple hair dryer that can’t be provided is a red flag. It’s supposed to be a standard in a double queen room I booked. I even asked if they can check spare rooms to pull a hair dryer because I just need it tomorrow morning but no luck! Amazing customer service- NOT! Now, I have to report for duty tomorrow and still trying to figure out how to get my hair fix.

Reviewed By Tara LWorst casino ever. I had to leave Boomtown in Harvey, Louisiana with my money still in the machine. Apparently the machine was broken but it accepted and validated my ticket. The money was credited to the machine. The light was flashing, no one came. I talked to workers, supervisors, and managers but they were not the least bit concerned with helping me. This ignorant, arrogant supervisor had this attitude that I was going to wait however long she wanted me to wait. Mind you I had already been waiting for almost an hour. After about 90 minutes I had to leave. It was 3:30am. I told the manager I could not wait any longer, there was still money in my machine but I had to go. They didn’t say anything. Still didn’t try to help me. Just looked at me unconcerned. I think it is a ploy to not send techs to service machines in order to steal patrons money. They play the wait it out game. Make the patron wait until they will not wait any longer. I’m contacting the gaming licensing board. Do not waste your time going to this casino

Just say no: as in, no heat in my room
Reviewed By KittyChanThis is the first time I'm leaving a Marriott property before the end of my scheduled stay - in this case, after just one night of a booked five-night stay. Even this seasoned traveler doesn't always hit the mark. I decided to go for a Marriott points-redemption bargain when booking this TownePlace Suites a few miles outside New Orleans - and I got what I (didn't) pay for. The first room assigned to me (316) had a nonflushing toilet - which, of course, I only discovered after making full use of it. The hotel engineer wasn't forthcoming, so I dragged my travel kit and caboodle back to reception. Ms. Claudia was very nice and apologetic, and immediately gave me keys for the top-floor room (416), just above my old one. Well, it started out as an improvement, but little by little (and as I was unpacking and arranging my travel accoutrements), things made me go hmm: strong bug spray odor, nonworking power outlets, and - the pièces de résistance (see photo) - these lovely items left behind under the bathroom sink by a previous guest. I didn't look too closely as I gingerly put items into the plastic laundry bag, but I couldn't help but note some of the box's contents, including a blonde wig, cosmetics, and cleaning products. I left these by the linen room, next to the elevator, and let Ms. Claudia know. (I couldn't call her, as the phone in my second room was as inert as the wig in the box.) I left for dinner and gave Marriott's Bonvoy Elite squad a call to see whether they'd consider refunding some or even all of my points for the stay if I were to move tonight or tomorrow. They basically said, yes; go have a nice dinner, mull when you want to move, and we'll take care of it. I decided to spend tonight here and move to one of my favorite Nola hotels, the Q&C, tomorrow; and I let the squad know. They promptly returned 75% of my total points to my account. And as I'm a bit congested, I couldn't even smell the bug spray as I typed this. And at least the bed (one of two queens) is decently comfortable. But, as I mentioned in my review title, the hotel is having its its final way with me: the heat in the room doesn't work (the A/C does, but it's 50 degrees in Nola), and the room remained at a cool 65 all night. I'd suggest avoiding this property until some major improvements take place. There's some kind of a renovation project taking place on the ground floor, but it looks to be halted for the season.

We are located, conveniently, on he west bank of the New Orleans area and are a "Focused Service" facility. We are directly across the street from the brand new Copeland's restaurant and offer complimentary parking, breakfast and Wi-fi. Added to that, we have just about the friendliest bunch of people you can find anywhere. Our rooms offer all of the modern amenities, including 40" flat panel television. We are an entirely suite hotel, so you have that extra space as well as a full sized sofa that can fold out into an extra bed when needed. You should really come and see us. You will not be disappointed.

Reviewed By Experience519456When I was checking in, the area around the hotel is not great. They can't control that, I get it. I got to my room, the carpet was wet. Not humid. Wet. There was water dripping from the ceiling in several places. The sheets were moist, and had several cigarette burns in them. The carpet had a lime green something in several places growing from it. The bathtub was rusted out and the water flow was minimal at best. There were chips in the tub as well. The shower curtain was too short so the water from the shower flooded the bath floor. There was no hook to hang a towel, no toilet paper holder, just the cabinet. I had 2 light bulbs burnt out- one in the entry and one in the bathroom. There was supposed to be a partnership with a fitness center but the front desk didn't know what that was. The marijuana smell in the hotel is strong. My billing was not correct, still isn't and I left my number for a manager to call me a week ago. Still no call.
