I love their chicken steaks and you must try it if you go there.. It's good place for watching live football games too.

A great selection of food in a set menu with soft drinks included. There was a lot of variety, very generous portions and attractively presented. Seating was traditional so not that comfortable if you're not used to benches and low tables. Cost was about $15 pp for the evening.
It appears to be a tourist venue, but it was full of locals on a night out. It 's not centrally located and the taxi fare is about $6-7 each way. We paid for waiting time too which was a little extra. Security was tight with a road block into the suburb, and a thorough search at the restaurant compound. Taxis had to park outside of the gates.
The band was also excellent. Locals sang along & some got up & danced.

The cup of Art is a lovely cute cafe where somali expatriates gather together. Its run by a Somali-American lady who transformed traditional somali art into modern cafe style. It resembles Costa or Sturbuck cafe where coffee is brought from neighbouring Ethiopia. They also serve delicious cakes, pastries and shakes. They play western chart music. One night they had life music where the cafe was crowded by people from everywhere. Because the cafe is near the parliment they stopped life music for safety.
You can hear Somali expatriates speaking mainly in US English and British accents. But also there were dutch, french, arabic, swahili. Its also popular with local students and the crowd seem very young. The people there seem to have formed their own subculture. Its a social place with ok-ish wifi. Unlike rest of Hargeysa nen and women eat and seat together. The place could have been bigger though.

The restaurant has done well for itself. It's affordable for its status and is located in a busy but quiet place for the evenings. Any sea food is really nice. Will definitely be going back....

Most places in Hargeisa serve up dust with everything; it's a very dusty place. But not in Cafe Barbera; very clean, carpeted and air conditioned, it's inside Deero Mall in the centre of town. Don't agree that the dishes are expensive, three meals (main course with cappucino or juice) cost me $13.50, $12.50 and $9.50 respectively. Attractive menu but the range of dishes is pretty limited at lunch time. TV screens with Al Jazeera but no sound. Free wifi that is the fastest I've found in town. Service is faster than some other restaurants if you don't have a lot of time to spare.

Ice Cream Parlor, first of its kind in Somaliland. Creams offers selective luxury ice cream flavors to its consumers. In total we have 20 hand picked flavors to offer. These were selected based on our research in the market and our feedback from consumers.
Well I ask someone to go there and buy me an ICECREAMS and he did but it was one flavor and the price wow $2.5 and if it worth the money it will be nothing but it was no comment and on the other hand lost fuel to reach the place
