The Bay advertises itself as A Rest Stop and Bar but it is much more than that. Its friendly and knowledgeable staff offers a full range of good quality drinks and cocktails and a menu with a enough choices to satisfy the most picky palate. They have a good variety of snacks in addition to a full meal service. The divining room is large and spacious supplemented by the large terrace which looks out over the small but delightful Bulls Bay beach and beautiful sunsets.The establishment is clean and offers the benefit of the internal dining and bar area being non smoking which is of course allowed outdoors.The evening clientèle is mainly local but it is slowly being discovered by guests from the hotels who want a local experience.

I have been to a lot of small shops and restaurants all around Jamaica, and this is the best one by far! The have an outdoor eating area with seating as well as room to stand if you so choose. They also have a bar/cafe right next to the food area with a wide variety of drinks and several tables as well as some Jamaican art for sale. They prepare all the food fresh, the place was very clean, prices were very cheap compared to other places, and every dish that I have tried there has been great! I can say from my first hand experience, there are a lot of cafes and restaurants in Jamaica that are not clean, the food is no where near fresh and they typically over charge for their food. Also, the cook and all of the workers were very courteous and helpful when I asked them questions about the best way to experience Jamaica for a tourist such as myself. The food was so good and the people were so nice, I ended up eating there 4 or 5 times during my 2 week stay. If you are looking for an authentic Jamaican place to eat at on the side of the road, Tusty Crab is a must!

The first time we went they had different types of small fish cooking (escoveitch) so we took what they had, short waiting time. On other occasions we chose our fish so had to wait a short while, bought some drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere while we waited. It's worth the wait, the escoveitch fish is fantastic, with sides of fried breadfruit, festival and bammy. Can't wait to go back, a great place to stop when driving from Montego Bay to Negril.The food and value deserves 5 stars but the washrooms etc. could be better, that's why only 4 stars, but I'm going there for the food.
