1) I was originally taken to another property of the owner's in New Hampi and offered a bed where the 'mattress' was two thin blankets on a hard wooden frame. Insisted I was taken to the place I booked in the bazaar - not sure if a genuine mistake or if they were trying it on to fill the less popular property. Suspect the latter. 2) Bathroom sink was filthy, place in general a bit grimy. Advertised as having constant hot water but I was only able to get hot water once and only from a tap - you can't have a shower. 3) Price I was offered room at said breakfast was included but no breakfast was provided. 3) Ticket booking services an absolute rip off - huge mark up charged compared to other agents. 4) You can stash your bags in office if arriving early/ leaving late but these are kept an unlocked room that isn't always attended so anyone could walk in off the street and take your stuff. Essentially, if this place was just honest about how basic it was and dropped the price accordingly it would be fine - as it is, I felt ripped off the entire way through.

Decent huts with mosquito nets. Good food. Decent rooms and overall clean bathroom. Good hosting by the owner. We asked for guide and he readily arranged. Very good experience. I think in hampi for the proce this is best you can get.

Great Location but Unprofessional Staff & Misleading Info! The place is located on the northern banks of river Tungabhadra away from Hampi city centre. If you are planning to drive in and have plans to explore Hampi on your own vehicle, then you have to drive for around 45 mins to reach this remote property. Don't go by the mis-leading description on the booking sites, instead check yourself on Google Maps. Despite its great location next to the gurgling stream, the hotel fails to do justice the immaculate natural setting. Food options are limited and restaurant timings are inflexible. As a whole avoid this property ... there are better options available around Hampi.

Very poor service. I reached early to hotel with my family at around 8AM morning, paid 30 percent extra to get early check-in. No issue that was company policy they followed. We booked 2 rooms, We were given room number 402 and 403, Went into room number 402 as 403 was not prepared yet. Room 402 had wall seepage decorated all over, checked the bathroom which was not clean at all and the towel was a torn one. Ok still we need to leave for hampi so we didn't bother too much at that time. They said 403 will be ready by the time you are back. When we came back by 7-8 PM room 403 had previously used water bottles kept on the table, some previously eaten parathas were kept on the table. When we checked the bathroom it had previously used toiletries still kept on sink. I lost my paitence when I saw the linens and blankets were completely dirty and a pillow without a cover. When we called the reception they said we are coming to check but didn't came by, again we called they said already the rooms are cleaned.. like we are fools sitting here, I told them to come and check, after several requests they came checked and changed the linens bedsheets towel and gave the toiletries, water bottles (had to request these as well from reception which was not provided). I was frustrated with there service instead of relaxing I was busy calling the reception. To add fuel to the fire we were bitten by mosquitoes at night. Horrible experience. Apart from these don't expect a nice tea from Oyo when you call reception, they will definitely get you a tea but from outside shop also breakfast is just an idly and vada don't expect much in 346 RS added breakfast meal. Overall I am not impressed with Oyo service it has lost my trust and interest.
