Haleʻiwa is a North Shore community and census-designated place (CDP) in the Waialua District of the island of Oʻahu, City and County of Honolulu. Haleʻiwa is located on Waialua Bay, the mouth of Anahulu Stream (also known as Anahulu River). A small boat harbor is located here, and the shore of the bay is surrounded by Haleʻiwa Beach Park (north side) and Haleʻiwa Aliʻi Beach Park (south side). Further west from the center of town is Kaiaka State Recreation Area on Kiaka Point beside Kaiaka Bay. As of the 2010 census, the CDP had a population of 3,970. It is the largest commercial center on the North Shore of the island. Its old plantation town character is preserved in many of the buildings, making this a popular destination for tourists and residents alike, visiting surfing and diving sites along the north shore.

A must stop visit... small bakery with house made bread to create tasty sandwiches and great smoothies. I have been coming here for the past 6 years... family owned, super friendly with great service and consistency. Nothing fancy but a great surf style hangout... always great to visit!

Kono's is a family owned restaurant on the North Shore of Oahu serving breakfast and lunch in a casual atmosphere. Kono's is a gathering place for locals, surfers, and tourists, a genuine North Shore experience. Our Kalua Pork is cooked daily for over 12 hours and is served in a variety of breakfast and lunch dishes.
Breakfast burritos before a surf session makes everything better. The food is fresh and delicious. Of course, the prices can't be beat for the quality you receive.Thank you so much for your feedback and you business! We hope to see you back soon!

These are the best Acai bowls. Get with either an organic frozen acai puree, like a sorbet, or an organic blend of acai, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas, like a thick smoothie. Both are awesome and both are topped with organic hemp granola, fresh bananas, raw coconut flakes, and drizzled with honey. You do not need to add any more fruit, but there are tons of choices for toppings. This is a food truck with a few benches. We happened to have our beach chairs in the trunk so just sat in those. Highly recommend. They also offer smoothies, cold brew Kona coffee and Kombucha.

Best food truck in Oahu on Hawaii! Drove all the way from Honolulu to eat here! Had the BBQ Shrimp and Jambalaya with the sweet tea. The staff were AMAZING and provided great recommendations. The food was perfectly cooked and authentically cajun. You MUST eat here!

Had family lunch at Beet Box. Food generally excellent, even for the non vegetarian family members. Meat loving son really enjoyed the verge burger while I enjoyed a bagel with scrambled egg. Otherwise there seemed to be lots of salads eaten. Really excellent ginger Kombucha on tap.
Not sure about the service because the staff gave the impression that they were all volunteers, which they might well have been. All very pleasant but quite slow and at times distracted. Rustic but quite clean interior. Very good value.

For your upscale dining with a great beachside view. I had the catch of the day and it was so good I'm still thinking about it. The service was efficient and the atmosphere suited our final dinner out. A little pricey, though but worth it.

Voted one of Oahu's best by Honolulu Star Advertiser four consecutive years, BANZAI Sushi Bar is truly one of Haleiwa's best kept secrets. Tucked away in a back corner of the North Shore Marketplace, casual fine dinning, outdoor covered seating with Japanese-style seating on Zabuton pillows or conventional tables, diners relax all while watching surf videos and enjoy live local musicians on the weekend. BANZAI uses local organic produce when ever possible and has their very own Hawaiian fish buyer who presents himself on a daily basis at the worlds largest Tuna fish auction here in Honolulu allowing them to serve the freshest fish almost immediately. With one of Hawaii's best Sake selections, any sushi lover and sake connoisseur will be in pure nirvana. Dont miss BANZAI Sushi Bar on your next visit to Oahu's North Shore in Historic Haleiwa Town.
This little place is good. I had the Hawaii roll. Very tasty. Service is a bit slow and there is not a lot of room. Would go back though and try something else.

The real deal is in purchasing the whole chicken at the cost of $10.75
Otherwise you pay $9.00 for only half a chicken, rice and a very small pineapple slaw. The pineapple slaw is ok, too much mayo for my taste.
I loved how they chopped up the chicken into smaller finger food bites...finger licking good.
I would certainly eat here again if driving by.
There were no tables or shade...it is a roadside stop.

At Big Wave Shrimp, we are serving Aloha daily. Our food truck is a favorite for locals and visitors alike, with a menu full of tasty, Hawaiian-style meals. With lots of tables, plenty of shade, and calming music, you'll love the laid-back ambience. Chef Kawita is the heart of our Big Wave Shrimp truck, adding love and ono-licious ingredients to every plate she serves. We are known for our shrimp plates, like Garlic Shrimp, Peeled Shrimp, Spicy Shrimp, and Shrimp Fried Rice, but we have plenty of other options as well. The Short Ribs, Spring Rolls, or our famous Mac Salad are sure to hit the spot.
The picnic area is nothing special, but we go for the garlic shrimp. The garlic is properly cooked (almost sweet). We've been visiting once a year for more than five years, and the the shrimps are always delicious.

We recently dined at Bo’s. The service was really great and some of the better we experienced during our recent stay. The restaurant is modern and fairly spacious with outdoor seating as well. The food was alright but we didn’t love it. I found the items we tried to be fine but not something I’d really go back for.
