First things first, the staff. The lady looking after us was top drawer. Really kind, welcoming and offered great advice throughout. Pointless coming here if itâs to go for the obvious and/or easy back ups on their Italian dishes. Go crazy, listen to them, look around and see what others are eating and go for something you were not planning. Your taste buds will thank you. The house wine, local Cabernet was totally nice although after the fact I wish I had tried the Ramallah red as I might not get a chance again. I had booked for the terrace but quickly changed my mind on discovering the interior. Itâs pretty cool and well pretty cool.Verdict: A no braiser, go for it.Photos: the mains dishes (local) and the Shishbarak

An aquaintance who lives in Daliat Elkarmel recomended me this place. About half of the customers are Druze and half are tourist. When you sit down there, the owner usualy comes and greets you (nice guy, don't remember his name). Then, like in Harry Potter first dinner at Howart School of Magic, tens of little plates pop up in front of you. Keep calm, because you've got a lot of work. Each salad, humus or stuffed veggetable is a delicatesen that you must slowly enjoy. Take special attention to the rice. White, with some pine seeds on top, doesn't look special. But try it. It's cooked in a clear chiken consome with secret spices that I couldn't make the owner confess. Then the waiter will ask if you'd like something from the grill. The meat is not so special as the first course, but I suggest you go for the lamb. When you're done and you're longing for your bed, say the secret password: "can I have coffe?". This is the "open sesame" of the place. You'll be asked to get out of the restaurante and get in again from a different door. You will find yourself in a traditional and authentic Druze house, full of pillows and confortable armchairs (as if they were reading your mind!). Here (by the side of the fire in winter), you'll be served good coffe, fruit and sweet Druze pastries. Sometimes the owner comes for a chat. Guest books are on the coffe table.I live in Haifa and everytime someone visits me from abroad I bring them to this place. I've never been disapointed.By the way, Daliat el Karmel is one of the safest places in Israel. The Druze are extremely friendly and very good hosts.
Pleasantly surprised by this small but amazing hummus place! Hummus was fresh and really good. Salad and many other side items were made on the spot and every tasted incredible.

In the heart of Wadi Nisnas â standing opposite each other â are two falafel establishments that have been competing for years. A comprehensive market survey we carried out gave micheal the lead over its rival, and we set off to earn our falafel. If the l
After enjoying our felafel across the street in Felafel Haâzkenim, we wanted to share a plate of hummus. Felafel Hwadi Michael offers other Arab fast food besides felafel, so we went there for hummus. The owner greeted us with a fresh felafel ball dipped in tehina. Gracious as he was, the felafel did not measure up to what we had just eaten across the street. It was somehow older, more fried, in our opinion. We enjoyed the plate of hummus which came with salad and pickled vegetables on the side. In retrospect, we should have ordered the hummus without the extra olive oil.

My family and I were in Daliyat al-Karmel affairs and at the end of the day friends advised us to have dinner at this wonderful restaurant. It was a pleasant summer evening and we decided to have dinner in the gallery, under the drooping branches and bunches of grapes. We were served by a very friendly man, who advised us to taste Mansaf. Mansaf is a traditional Levantine dish made of lamb cooked in a sauce of fermented dried yogurt and served with rice or burgul. The name of the dish comes from the term "large tray" or "large dish".In the Mediterranean tradition table was abundantly represented a variety of salads, hummus and hot pits. Next came Mansaf. Portion was large and had enough for two. For dessert, they brought us a traditional Druze sweets and coffee. Very quiet and nice place, I am very happy that we found it and we were not disappointed.

A very popular falafel stand in Wadi Nisnas, Haifa. Actually, you may have to stand as there are only few high chairs. Very fresh falafel, hummus and salad. Nonstop service. Enjoy.

True, the choices around Mt. Carmel are limited. This is truly food cooked with love. I still don't know what Druze food is, but I'm glad that our tour bus stopped here for lunch. We were the first of two groups to eat there, and the welcome and service were amazing. Dad welcomed us and had a special room for our tour leaders. Mom was serving. Daughter was cooking in the back (we were told that the sesame cookies that we had at the end were her specialty, and they were worth the cost of admission!). Chicken Schnitzel and falafel were on the menu. Both very good. The spread of salads was really great and had some originals that we hadn't had before (maybe that's what makes it Druze). Lunch included some exotic drinks and ended with coffee. A memorable meal.

Wow! The food was absolutely amazing! We started with an assortment of salads and warm pita bread. We ordered the chicken breast, the filet and lamb chops. Everything was perfect! Two dishes were served with rice, one with French fries. And we also ordered the mushroom cream sauce. Delicious!!

An authentic druze cuisine. ahlan wasahlan
The waiter went well out of there way to make us happy--describing in detail anything we were unsure of, repeatedly checking if we wanted more of the free flowing food. Appetizers were excellent. Main dishes were also good (one exception was the hears that were cooked dry). Altogether a very good experience.Thank you very muchWe were happy to welcome you and we will be happy to see you againElkheir

On the top of Carmel mountain in the magical Druze village Daliat El Carmel by the olive trees a beautiful place that serves home made othentic oriental druze food with the fragrance and tastes of the area and the druze ancient tradition
Visited with a tour group. Along with a traditional Druze meal, which was surprisingly good, we were treated to the history and cultural traditions of the Druze people. Somewhat off the beaten track you can visit without a tour. Recommended. Hope this helps.
