AfriCamps is all about glamping at the most beautiful working farms, estates, and reserves in South Africa. At each of our locations, you can get closer to nature without compromising on the creature comforts you love. Each AfriCamps tent consists of an outdoor wood-fired hot tub or splash pool, a spacious open plan lounge area with a couch, a dining area with a solid wooden table and seating for five guests, a fully-equipped kitchen, two bedrooms that comfortably sleeps five guests and a bathroom complete with hot shower, flushing toilet and washbasin. Both bedrooms are furnished with extra-length queen-size beds and have their own private entrance which allows maximum privacy. One of the bedrooms also contains a single bunk bed. Our tents are equipped with air conditioning and an indoor fireplace. Enjoy a braai on our spacious wooden decks and take in the views from the comfortable deck loungers. Pull up the front covers and transform the tent into a large outdoor living area. Unwind and appreciate a festive family breakfast while taking in the serene natural beauty of Magoebaskloof. Travel tip: For longer stays, an additional cooler box will come in very handy to keep your food and drinks cold. Ice is available to purchase from the camp. Magoebaskloof is known for its streams, waterfalls, dams, and gardens which attract mountain bikers, hikers, and birders for a thrilling adventure. Beautiful scenery, lovely walking trails which take you through areas with majestic trees and moss covered rocks , you are transported into another world. Lots of bird life and we were also lucky to see the Samango Monkeys. The tent is well equipped with the basic requirements . Really enjoyed using the hot tub on a chilly evening. The property is in a good location as it is central to most of the places we visited during our stay. Read less

Glenogle Farm has 2 luxury self catering suites, The Stables and The Loft. The Stables is positioned between the horse stables and paddock. It has 2 bedrooms,1 bathroom, kitchen, dining area and lounge with a fireplace. The Loft is an exclusive romantic hideaway in the forest with exquisite views. It has a bedroom,full bathroom, kitchen, living area with fireplace and private deck.

Reviewed By galimkwanaziI think I left my heart in The Loft at Glenogle Farm. We didn't want to leave!! The hosts are amazing, patient and very welcoming. The farm is everything calm, romantic, serene and beautiful. The kitchen in The Loft has everything, we cooked homemade burgers on our first night! The area around the property has great activities and picturesque roads but the most fun we had was on the Farm within the trees, on the little boat ride we took in the little dam and walks we took on the property. We are certainly going back soon!!

The Pennefather's cottages are extremely comfortable, well-equipped, and oh so peaceful! The beds are fabulous (I have a very fussy spine), the staff are most helpful and go out of their way to do more than is required. Martha washed our dirty walking shoes without being asked - what a darling! The Coffee shop has the most divine cakes and quiche, and it is like being dropped into a warm cocoon of old friends. The people in this town are lovely.

Your own piece of paradise. Equipped and decorated to the highest and most soothing standards, this self-catering double-story log cabin boasts three double bedrooms, two bathrooms and sleeps eight people. Such is its privacy, you can luxuriate in a bath looked upon only by a forest and an enormous sky. Centerpiece of the spacious open plan living area is a fitted log fire for those quiet, romantic evenings. The deck gives you a choice of forest and lake views and once sundowners are over, the built-in deck braai beckons. The second lodge is a single-story log cabin that has three Bedrooms, one Bathroom and sleeps six people. The 2nd lodge also has an open plan living area which includes a centre fireplace for those quiet, romantic evenings. There is also a Weber braai that can be used on the amazing outside deck that leads out of the lounge and overlooks the spectacular Stanford Lake. Escape beyond the turmoil of the city - and those over-crowded resorts.

It was such a pleasure to walk into such a well-equipped cabin, smell the fresh mountain air and enjoy a wonderfully laid out home. Your linen and beds are top of the range, and our entire party commented on what good nights' sleep we all had. I would also like to give a hearty thank you to Salome and Esther, your cleaning team; as they were so non-invasive, cleaned beautifully and were so friendly. We tried two of your recommended activities: In The Company of Horses (Equine Adventures) and the beautiful and delightful lady, Colleen who did my Reflexology. I have never in my life been to such a through (treatment) and thoroughly delightful lady, Colleen. Her passion for Stanford's history shone through. What made our stay at your beautiful lodge even more special, is the fact that both my mom, and my hubbys' parents, alongside our daughter, joined us for the week. It was honestly a good, relaxing break for our souls to re-coup. You will most certainly be seeing us, as well as our friends and family, soon!

Reviewed By LizetteL_12We so enjoyed the Gallery room that we've stayed there twice, and will probably stay there every time we head to Haenertsburg. The location is conveniently close to the main road, but far enough for some peace and quiet. Lovely view, fireplace and bathtub.

Reviewed By VivandNeilKingWe booked last minute.com. Owner very accommodating. We stayed in a room adjoining the main house. Heater was on and. Ice and Cosy. We asked for an outdoor fire which was also arranged. We were worried about the noise levels in arrived but after 7pm it definitely quitened down and we had a good rest. Only one suggestion would say the mattress needs replacing. Otherwise awesome views and great overnighter.
