Nice view, nice food, nice staff, foreigner friendly
Reviewed By Yuji FWe spent two nights in Hachijo View Hotel with breakfast and dinner. The staff are very nice and helpful, especially Toshiaki Kamatsuka who helped us a lot in arranging our trip on Hachijojima. He speaks English and provide us a very clear and detail info during the stay. As we plan to climb up on Mt. Nishi while we can't speak any japanese. We added Toshi on LINE and once we finished our hikking, we simply text Toshi and he helped us to call the taxi to pick us up from the mountain to the place we planned for our lunch. After two nights of stay and we checked out, we were heading to Aogashima for another two days, we kept our luggage in Hachjio View Hotel for 2 days which is free of chrage. When we came back to Hotel to pick up the luggage, Toshi drive us to the airport. This is very nice experience for us to explore Hachijojima!! 5 Stars experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Quiet and clean, a great place to land after lots of hiking!
Reviewed By dpsenickaThis spot was close to a bus stop, The Historic Museum, a store and a short walk to memorable sunsets. My daughter and I spent 3 nights there. We had an amazing time on the island. We did not eat at the hotel because we wanted to experience cafes and restaurants on the island. The shared shower and onsen facility was small but there are other onsens on the island that are larger and more elaborate. We felt safe here and the entire island had a nice slow pace. We went on Golden week and it was still pretty calm, again very nice quiet hotel.

Cheap inn in Hachijojima Lodge ocean. A new annex opened and was an increasingly popular casual lodge last year. "Light smiling face" "clean room" "I had that or have breakfast." "the reasonable price from which waste was omitted" You enjoy travel in Hachijojima fully by a favorite free stay style, please. ◆【Period limited】 Lodge Ocean's all Plan have a service Japanese style Breakfast. Common Space ◆Dining room ◆Kitchen (Gus stove,Microwave,Item for cooking) ◆ice maker ◆landry machine, landry soap, Drying space ◆Parking lot * When booking the Annex, should be use the common rest room, bath and shower.(separated by genders) ◆9 Privileges 1)Pick-up serveice from/to Air port & Ferry terminal(In advance,shoud be booking) 2)There is free parking lot 3)There is free Wi-fi 4)There is free common PC 5)Our Lodge is vicinity of the center city. Superb pension to choose especially for divers and sea lovers
Reviewed By SmileyPic(stayed mid-Sept 2020) Fabulous stay and meals were superb, big portion - had breakfast and special dinner plan package). Most photos here are as are, not many for me to add to. Airport pick-up and drop off arrangement is available. If at odd time, it is about 15 minutes drive, about Yen1,200. We had corner attached unit bathroom-lavatory, twin bed style room. Nice and clothes hangers provided. At least 5 power outlets in the room, with WiFi, of good speed. Just a note for those with 80kg, 1.8m body build, bathroom might be really tight. Lots of parking spaces in the pension ground too. Restaurant, divers space, BBQ space, free kitchen area, drying area and washing machines (2x) are within 1 minutes walk from main building. Walk to the Sokodo beach area is nice and well paved. Pretty straight forward too. During off season, there is no main eateries within the area. Walk about 20+ minutes, you can get to a local Amedori store, which have obento, water bottles, and drinks. There is a restaurant within 5+ minutes walk (Coco Moon) but we missed its operating days this trip. A close by store (1 minute walk, opposite ferry terminal), Hamayuu has tidbits, mineral water and basic bread, at a little marked up price. Will write more for Ocean Boulevard for divers. English is spoken too. Kato-san is a superb guide and well-experience. Highly recommended.

Reviewed By Adrian LStayed here for 2 nights in September, 1 planned and 1 unplanned due to a Typhoon. Hotel is centrally located and the owner was very attentive Would highly recommend as a good location to stay, was able to catch a bus close by to the free public onsen on the island

Great view
Reviewed By Inge BSurprise - a good one - and our first time to visit this island. Big room with a view to the sea. We are a little out of season so the pool is not working. But nice stay anyway? Very interesting food - really taking extra care of children with special food, special plates and everything. You can also lone Books to take to the room! And very nice people!

Reviewed By Junzo103186Hachijo island is the nearest island that you can feel tropical environment, beautiful coral beach with colorful fishes, beautiful mountain like Fuji and nice smiles. You can enjoy snorkeling, fishing, climbing, cycling and so on. Sokodo-so is a traditional Japanese style hotel by the beautiful Sokodo beach and Sokodo harbor. English is available. The staff speaks English fluently, so you can get many informations about tourism, especially how to enjoy Japanese style fishing at the Sokodo harbor. It’s lots of fan! Why not try?

Reviewed By Willem KKencha Rumah has friendly host and some neat and convenient features such as car hire and diving suit rentals. This is a guest house, not a hotel. No meals are furnished. Buy your own breakfast cereals and some milk in the supermarket nearby and eat bento in the evening. There's a microwave oven and a gas stove if you realy feel like cooking. I did not like having to make my own bed. Especially the bunk beds in the family room we rented. Neither did I like to have to put 100 yen coins for each 2 hours of airco in the room. This is just a hassle. The common room was nice to have breakfast and dinner in. However, there's no hot water to do the dishes here so you've got to get this from the bathroom in your own room. That's an unnecessary hassle too. Therefore, only three points for this place. It could easily gain 4 by taking care of some minor details.

朝ごはんがおいしいアットホームなゲストハウス
Reviewed By Mymari39いちどは閉めていた民宿を2020年にリフォームして開業したばかりのゲストハウス。シンボルマークの大きな『たこの木』が出迎えてくれて、島に来たなあっていう感じがします。素朴な作りで、お部屋は畳で小さめですがとても清潔で壁も床の間もおしゃれに塗り替えられていて気持ちがいい。おちゃめでセンスのいい女将のさりげない気配りがあちこちにされていて落ち着きます。テレビや冷蔵庫などは共有スペースになりますが、まるで実家でくつろいでいるような気持になりましたｗ 500円で用意してもらえる朝ごはんは土鍋で炊いたつやつやのご飯に、島の食材も取り入れたおかずが少しずつたくさん用意されていてとても美味しかった！ありがとうございました。また行きます♪
