I love to eat at Suju (there is this original restaurant in Karuizawa, and a couple branches in Tokyo, including across from Tokyo Station). The food is so fresh and tasty. If you like to eat vegetable-, tofu- and beans-oriented dishes, with fish and other fresh ingredients, this is the place. They do wonderful things with miso (not only soup, but as a sauce for vegetables and for fish).I always take home some of their products -- not only miso, but beans. Staff is helpful in English and atmosphere is lovely. Also centrally located near the shopping street, so it's easy to find.

It is a Chinese restaurant attached to the condominium accommodation front office located in Tsumagoi Village Kamihara which is adjacent to Kita Karuizawa in the Asama Highlands area.
