Nice resort to visit
Best farm stay ever
Reviewed By A_mathureWe'd planned Gir safari all girls trip with our respective kid and decided to stay at Aaranya after reading all the wonderful reviews here. And the place does prove it worth. We did spot the king of the jungle but even if we'd missed it we would have been completely satisfied visiting this place. Surrounded by farms till the horizon, shaded by beautiful mango trees, tastefully designed villas and above all the seven star hospitality that Dhanji bhai and his family provide. We had a few tantrums and untimely demands for meals and other stuff owing to the kids but never once we got disappointed. In fact, at a point we felt bad and said we will be fine with the cold food but they just couldn't let us and instantly made hot rotis and stuff for us. Nothing can match those lovely souls and the efforts they put in. Totally recommended whether you have kids or not. I am an avid traveler and this by far is the best experience I have ever had.

Terrible Hospitality at Vrundavan Residency Hotel, Baroda.

Am elaborating what we are currently undergoing ...We are staying at this hotel as a part of our tour - we are theatre artists and we perform stage shows. We have stayed in this Hotel during previous tours when the service was o.k. Presently with the temperatures soaring, not in a single AC room the AC is functioning, the bathrooms have not been cleaned for months ( or years) . The staff is on leave and are only some old persons are managing the venue with no willingness for serving the customers. We had to get Drainex and gave it to the Hotel staff to use. When asked for cold milk, they brought hot milk and said keep it for some time, it will get cold then you can drink the same. Bed linen and towels are not changed. When told about the same, they simply folded the used towel and handed over the same to us. Tea was served which tasted as if it was made a couple of days back. Tea cups were dirty. Overall it was terrible staying here and there is no one to complain to. Hence writing a review for the benefit of other traveler's. The heat is so unbearable that as the AC is not working and the fan is insufficuent, even kept the bathroom exhaust fan on. However the fan is giving a noise as if some construction activity is on presently.

Not a place for Family Stay
Reviewed By pvagThe place is primarily to cater to male travellers. Is scary to stay with family. Toilets and bathrooms are far away on a diff floor. The ceiling of entire Toilets and Ba ths is dripping dirty water. Won't even stay for free. The owner was kind to shift us to a diff hotel.

Overall I had a good stay and would consider Charyana again the next time I’m in Ahmedabad.
Reviewed By macedonboyStayed here for 4 nights in December in one of the dorms. The dorms are set up like most hostels except that there is about 20 beds in the dorm and the shared bathroom is connected with the dorm with I think about 7 each of shower and toilet cubicles. The beds are custom made bunk beds and very sturdy, so you shouldn’t really notice your bunkmates. Each bunk comes with two electrical sockets, a private light and privacy curtains. There’s also a thin blanket which is not necessary when the AC is off and too thin when it’s on. The mattress and pillows were clean and comfortable. The dorm has a few small tables and chairs where people can sit and eat, but it’s not really a social area. The reception also two couches which again is probably too small to use for socials. Here’s Wifi throughout the hotel, worked well and fast enough for most purposes. Location wise, it’s pretty much in the old city of Ahmedabad and all the attraction are close by or within easy walking distance. There’s also plenty of restaurants close by as well as several local markets, although the latter is more aimed at locals. Overall I had a good stay and would consider Charyana again the next time I’m in Ahmedabad.
6. Shiv Sai Dormitory
We have 30 bed Dormitory at ALKAPURI VADODRA it's a quite and decent place. Just walkeble distence from railway station and Bus stand

Reviewed By Kshitij MIt is a nice hotel and very near to railway station. Rooms were cleaned but not spacious. The washroom was clean but smelly. Hotel is doing proper business. If you will request them for early check in, they will allow you after you pay INR 500 extra to them for early check-in. Night staff of reception was very rude but the day person of the reception was polite and cooperative. I stayed there with family and they provide the room with seperate bad to us. I requested housekeeping person to join the bad or change the room, he denied and asked us to contact at the reception. considering this I will not recommend the hotel.

Reviewed By siddh2000this is the best hostel/dormitory i have been to ,10 times better than go stops and zostel .. totally impressed by comfortable bed , cleanliness .ro water provided for drinking .locker room with keys for luggage. through windows natural light coming in which i love .best part is there are so many CLEAN shower rooms and toilet available. at rs 50 only towel ,soap,razor , toothpaste/brush (toiletries) kit is available.. reception staff is very polite .. location also 5 min walk from station

Reviewed By TheMoni17Its a highway restaurant with clean ambience and good food as per the highway standards. Party airconditioned , serves basic food and tea coffee. Playing safe We had typical indian food. The thalis we ordered were good ans sufficient for one person. Food is priced cheap and place is hygenic.
