The Orango Parque Hotel is located in the islands of the Orango National Park. Is surrounded by an extensive beach of fine white sand and by an immense tropical forest, which makes it completely integrated into the landscape. The Hotel has 10 double rooms and a main building where we can find the reception, the bar and the restaurant. Our cuisine is international and has a Portuguese influence and a touch of African cuisine. We like to work with local products, such as fresh fish or shell seafood that are extracted directly from the beach. We also have an ethnographic museum that holds the country's largest collection of Bijago art. There is a local craft shop too, where you can find authentic local artisan pieces. All rooms have a full bathroom inside and single beds all provided with a mosquito net. We are an ecological establishment that is committed to clean energy. We have solar panels that cover 100% of the energy demanded by the hotel. The reduced capacity of our hotel always offers an exclusive and personalized service. We are managed by the Associaçao Guiné Bissau Orango, a Spanish non-profit organization that participates in an ecotourism development project in the National Parks of Guinea Bissau. Our profits are reverted into development cooperation microprojects that directly benefit the local population of the Orango National Park, mainly in the areas of health, education as well as the preservation of biodiversity and the Bijago culture.

Reviewed By davehN7914MUThis is the 2nd visit to this island. It is a wonderful unspoilt paradise of an island. The staff are very friendly & we chatted with them as we'd known them as friends for a long time. Meals were excellent & service couldn't be faulte, they can't do enough for you. Staying in the new roo s by the beach was a bonus as having a warm shower after a days fishing is just what you need. Apart from having a good fishing holiday with a couple of friends the place is a great place to relax & take time out from the daily rush back in the U.K. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

A small paradise!
Reviewed By SimoneSuisseThis place is amazing, it is a tiny island with so many sophisticated details like hammocks, yoga place, water bucket in front of the room to get the sand off before entering, light with movement sensor on the bungalows so one does not walk in complete dark, indeed a small paradise! The food was amazing too, they even catered for vegetarians with some proper vegetarian dishes:-). But most importantly the hosts are amazing and were incredibly kind to me when I had to return the morning after arrival due to a family emergency, they got me a private (bumpy, but safe:-)) boatride without extra charge so I made the flight in time, thank you so much again Sonia and Laurent, we will back!!

The hotel is extremely tranquil yet provides all the facilities you'd expect - even though its on an island 60 kilometres offshore, where most residents don't have access to electricity and running water. The hotel has its own generator which provides more than enough electricity to allow for much needed air-conditioning in the rooms at night and a desalination plant so there's plenty of fresh water. The rooms are extremely pleasant with full ensuite facilities. They are extremely clean and very comfortable. The food is really excellent - wonderful fresh fish most evenings - caught by the anglers staying at the lodge. Excellent staff and a wonderful host - Gilles. The fishing guides are exteremly knowlegable and really helpful. Highly recommended if you're looking to escape the rat race for a few days!

Perfect hotel to stay
Reviewed By ludom328We arrived in Bubaque for 4 days and we stayed in this megally friendly hotel that I highly recommend. The rooms were cleaned. We had a warming welcoming thanks to Cisse and Dingo ;-) they were always here to help us. In the evening the hotel turns to an amazing local ambiance with all the bubaque village joining for a drink and diner. The food was delicious and I recommand the “toto cocktail” (it s a secret receipt made by the bar tender). You will love this place

Reviewed By Terry MStayed here two nights, split between a night on Bubaque Island. It was quite comfortable. Had two beds [double and single]. Air conditioning worked and not loud. Brekkie was simple [bread, eggs and coffee/tea] but fine. Room was a decent size. There are no elevators, rooms 1-9 being on the first floor [second for North Americans]; 10 and higher above that. The shower was right in front of the toilet so needed footwear for the bathroom. There is a tv that went unused. There is a room safe. It is not a charming place but well located, just a 10M stroll from the fort and the old part of Bissau.

Reviewed By Curiosity264932O Hotel é bem localizado mas sujo e com um péssimo serviço. O atendimento foi muito mau. Não tem pequeno almoço incluído nem restaurante. Muito caro para a qualidade que oferece. Não voltarei e não recomendo. Existem outros hotéis melhores em Bafatá.

The Hotel-Residência Proquil ist situated in the oldest part of Bissau, Bissau-Velho. The quarter of Bissau-Velho is very near to all central institutions and shopping centers. Restaurants, Bars, the central market, Ministries, the port and nearly all other major points of interest are reachable within 10 minutes walking.At night Bissau Velho is a quite place – nevertheless, if you want to go out – Bars and Restaurants of Bissau-Praça are very near!For a good dinner and nice evening we recommend the nearest Restaurant – and its one of the best in Bissau – (less than 50m from Proquil) – Restaurant Ta-Mar. It is also recommended for breakfirst and lunch.If you like, we can also organize a room service with local food for you.Have a nice stay at Hotel-Residência Proquil Bissau.

Very nice and comfortable two bed and single rooms in bungalows with air conditioner near Bissau. It's situated 7 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the capital. Very quiet place with restaurant and swimming pool. The owner speaks English, Spanish, German and Portuguese.
