Ate here tonight (Wed 23 Oct 2019). We live 4 miles away so eaten here many times. It was very disappointing tonight. The chicken in the main course tasted very old... very hard to eat/bite.Haweli in West Byfleet is a more consistent standard. RPG is not as good as a few years ago. Shame.

Rajdoot is a indian and Bangladeshi sub continental restaurant, since opening 1992 until today it has been most famous for traditional Indian food surrounding guildford ,it is one of the most busy indian restaurant in Surrey, please book your table in adv
Had a superb meal this evening, with thoughtful and efficient staff. When the bill came, we noticed that we had been charged £9 for two pints of lime and soda. When we queried this, we were told that this was the standard price for a pint of soft drink (£4.50 each) - confirmed by the price on the drinks menu. A real shame, as the same drink costs 80p at the pub up the road. We have dined here many times, and have never been disappointed by the quality of the food, but this excessive charge has left a sour taste.Thank you for your kind words I am really sorry to hear you have found some drinks price expensive, I have taken note and since soda water price has been reduced next time you are in the restaurant please ask for the manger I will personally apologise to you and give you refund For soda water , Rajdoot your restaurant please donât stop coming any problem please ask for me Also apology for late reply I was out of country Many thanks for the review Best wishes Kind regards Rahman Lyak Team Rajdoot

Saturday night meal with family. We often get a take away but fancied eating out. The tables are very close together and it was uncomfortable as you couldnât really have a conversation. We were offered a drink and poppadoms - we had almost finished the poppadoms before the drinks came. We then waited 45 minutes for our meal and watched 7 takeaways go out. We tried to get a waiters attention several times to order more drink, but they were too busy. Food came, it was nice, but then we have never in all our years had a complaint with the food here, itâs really good!, but we were board and past hungry when it came. We asked for drinks with the arrival of the food but they never came. After eating we waited 15 minutes for our plates to be cleared, then I asked for the bill, the bill came with the plates still on the table and after 10 mins of waiting to pay I went and paid at the desk. On being asked âhow was everything â I replied it was very poor and slow and I was gasping for a drink so going home. I got a âsorry itâs been busyâ but they still took £70 offering no discount. We are locals but will now not go back.

Indian,Vegetarian Friendly, Vegan Options, Gluten Free Options, Sunday buffet all you can eat. New! We are doing 15 items Sunday lunch buffet.
I really enjoyed my meal here. It was fairly standard for UK Indian restaurant. Excellent service and good food, if a little bit oily. There was nothing that made this stand out from the crowd. I would go back but I wouldn't go far out of my way to eat here.

A disappointing experience. I visited alone on a quiet Sunday evening, apart from two takeaway visitors I was the only customer. Despite the restaurant being empty I was shown to a tiny cramped table. I received only a cursory greeting upon entering with absolutely no welcome or friendly chat whatsoever. The two âwaitersâ on duty at the time spent the whole time I was there time slouched over the counter looking at their phones adding absolutely nothing to the already non existent atmosphere. The food was actually very good, my lamb naga was very tasty and nice and hot, the mushroom rice and the onion bhaji were also excellent, unfortunately it takes more than just good food to make a good dining experience. I was practically ignored by said âwaitersâ when I left in keeping with my overall opinion of the service Iâd received. Itâs a shame that an otherwise good restaurant can be marred by such unfriendly, slovenly unenthusiastic staff!

A modern twist in Indian dining scene. We cook with our heart.
Not familiar with Guildford so used TripAdvisor to find this Indian restaurant. As others have said, very short menu with nothing standard fare. Very much enjoyed a mixed vegetable tiki, beautifully served and tasting delicious. Amuses bouches of the kind served in posh French restaurant with both a cup of the most delicious soup and a puri. Main course as venison a first for me in a restaurant of this type. Would definitely come back.

Yup - they've got their crowd; they're full most evenings but the food standard has dropped noticeably, the service now is indifferent verging on careless and the noise! My God the din kills conversation dead. For these reasons and the for the dull, routine take-away food I will go elsewhere. It's not about the price - it's the carelessness that gets me. I am truly sorry about your experience with the Ashuka's food and service and I hope that you may try us again as we do not want to lose a valued customer. The Ashuka has undergone a new change of management after 15th October and is improving the quality of food and service to meet the standards at which we serve our customers as we are a fine dining restaurant who aim to provide a unique experience at the Ashuka and hope you would try us again and see if you enjoy our improved experience.
