Beach Club & Restaurant in Acapulco, enjoy the life. We are located in the middle of the Acapulco bay.
People love this place, and I have to say that after 2 visits for lunch, the reason for this still is a complete mystery. The setting is pleasant enough, I understand that their main business is selling booze on weekends, but the food is only just average, my husband's "sopes" were tasty, my friends steak tacos looked ok, but my chicken pasta was dry with extremely overcooked chicken strips which I managed to improve with hot sauce, cheese and some rather nice cilantro sauce that the waiter offered, presumably after seeing how un-appetizing the dish was. The service was mostly surly, sloppy and unprofessional, orders were mixed up, dishes were brought that hadn't been ordered and there was no sign that anybody was overseeing the operation. One would think that mid-week, off-season in an empty city, a table of regular locals would be looked after far better and it is precisely this kind of slap-dash, lazy attitude that has ruined so much of Acapulco and sent tourists, especially Americans, off to other resorts.

The atmosphere was fun, it felt like we were on a pirate ship. We ate dinner during sunset and it's an amazing view. The waiters were very attentive and pretty funny, they kept the drinks coming, pretty good selection of $2 us (40 peso) drinks. The food was pretty awful, most options were deep fried. We had the guacamole it was the best part!I had coconut shrimp, they were a very deep brown and heavy in grease. I peaked off most of the batter and got through it. It came with French fries and veggies. My husband ordered chicken Alfredo, it was lumpy noodles with a fried chicken patty.Next time we're in Acapulco we'd go back for drinks and skip the food, the atmosphere was worth it.
