We loved this gem on the water. Our server Willie recommended the Hawaiian Tacos--they were a total departure from the local fare but amazing! Deep fried shrimp, pineapple and cheese served egg roll style with a yummy soy dipping sauce. Also recommend the lobster a la mojo de ajo--deep fried with garlic. It's right on the beach so you can wash up in the ocean after!

We choosed what fish we were going to eat, they cooked with wood it was delicious a bit spicy for me but nothing for the mexicans that were with us. We ordered sopes that were just the right appetizer size. We ordered coconuts that seems just cut from the tree. The guacamole and totopos were yumi, the lobster was a bit hard to chew seemed it was overcooked. Also ordered camarones a la diabla (shrimps in devils sauce) in their shell and they were good. They have a lot of hamacas available and the sand touches your toes while eating. The sound of the waves complemented this great family meal. We went a week before Independence day and it was very calm, we returned the following week and it was crazy.

Out door dining on the ocean. Martha's has been serving Majahua for over 20 years. Fresh seafood daily caught right beside the restaurant. Come as you are and enjoy the great atmosphere!
We couldn't get all of our group to come for dinner, so several of us came for breakfast. The fruit plate was a huge plate of oranges, apples, pineapple, cucumber(?) or something similar that was unexpectedly good in the mix. The others had typical Mexican egg dishes and great fresh orange juice. One had hot cakes with caramel sauce. I asked if they had fish caught that morning (now was 9 am) they said yes so I had a whole fresh red snapper that was delicious. I am normally not a fish fan. One of our group so enjoyed the handmade tortillas that we got an order to go.

Loved this place. Totally low key and unpretentious. The food was perfect. All fresh from scratch. Loved our teenage waiter, Sebastian. The whole family works here. Someone was asleep in a hammock in the middle of everything. Friendly, fresh food, great views. A pool!! We had the pulpo al mojo de ajo, cocktail de camarones, pescadillas (amazing!), super cold beers and freshly fried tacos. Loved this place!!

Working with local talent, our culinary trained chef, creates a mix of innovative dishes, such as Thai Shrimp Tacos, Ahi Sashimi w/ Mango Salsa & More! Traditional fare includes Mexican favorites like Baja Fish Tacos, Chile Rellenos & Oaxcan Moles, plus an ar
This is a small but comfortable open-air restaurant. They have a good variety of food, with some really delicious dishes. The chicken mole is outstanding, and they have great seafood too. The margaritas are some of the best around, made with fresh ingredients. They have a huge TV which is only on by request, but is nice if you wanted to watch a sport event.

I've lived in Mexico for over 2 years now and have been hankering for a good burger for a long time. Well, Orbe's delivers the goods! Terrific cheeseburger served with mushrooms and onions. 2die4! Tuesday nights are ribs night and the place is always packed. Good bang for the buck!

Great local place in the center of Troncones. My husband and I shared the huachinango (whole local red snapper often fried or filleted). It was the perfect size for two people to share and came with rice and vegetables. At 200 pesos ($10 US) itâs an incredible deal. But the size varies and the waiters will either show you the exact fish or tell you the price of the fish available. Drinks are delicious and prices fairly. The waiters are friendly and many speak English. I mean who doesnât want to eat and drink on the beach with your feet in the sand. You can even take a dip in the ocean in between courses should you desire. They also have live music every Saturday night. Havenât been but I hear itâs fun.

I was really looking forward to experiencing this place. We went twice. The first time we had chiles en nogada and tacos. The chiles en nogada was cold (not made to order just sort of heated up) and the tacos okay but just okay. The second time was a big mistake. It was a special "Guerrero" night and we reserved a table a few days ahead. We paid a lot of money for a set menu. It was the most expensive dinners we've experienced. We thought it would be some really good food. When we arrived it was really unclear what the meal included. Took a long time to figure that out and I had to go search for someone to help explain things. We were brought small plates of different things mass produced. It was awful. There was fatty meats and pozole and a few other things. Not worth the price which was I think 500 pesos each not including drinks. Then the entertainment came to demonstrate dancing. They were good but it just seemed so fake. That night it was tourist trap and I couldn't wait to get out of there. At one point, one of the dancers knocked our table over - drinks and everything smashed to the floor. We were not asked if we wanted another drink to replace the smashed ones. Dessert came and was not very good. We got out of there. It was like an all inclusive or a cruise ship experience. Very uncomfortable for us.

Not exactly sure why Chenhoâs isnât as good as years past, but the food just isnât special anymore. Weâve tried a variety of dishes on two different evenings, but the thrill is gone. Too bad, this used to be our favorite spot in Troncones.
