Stopped by here 2 times during a recent stay at the Intercontinental for dinner. Both times excellent experience!Reception by the staff is good / friendly. Quickly seated and a drink in front of you in notime. That is a good start.A good set of choices from the menu and weekly specials. All ingredients are fresh and tasty.Had a mixture of sashimi and rolls both time and everything tasted great. Big compliments to staff & kitchen for 2 excellent experiences. Will definately be back!Dear AvdV80;Thank you very much for sharing your opinion about your experience in our restaurant Tanoshii. This has become our favorite Japanese restaurants in town and here is why:1. The best quality ingredients2. True Japanese cuisine. Japanese chef.3. The most authentic Japanese-style ambiance in townIt doesnât have an expansive menu, but everything is perfectly done and presented. They are having seasonal festivals, which adds variety and makes you want to come back. Iâve tried the best ramen, the best yellowtail sashimi, everything we have tried has been top notch.Yes, service can be spotty, but believe me, itâs not a big deal. This is not a chain restaurant, so it is more like artisan food. You are getting a quality meal nevertheless. If you are serious about Japanese food, this is a must visit while in town.

Went to celebrate my father in law's 84th bday. As starters, we ordered the shrimp tacos and tuna tostadas. Both were delicious. We ordered various sushi rolls which were very good. I really enjoyed the one with pieces of green plantain which made the roll crispy. Loved the ambiance and service. Very good wine selection. We are so glad to hear you enjoyed your visit and we hope to have you back soon!

We love japanese food, and we have visited most in Guatemala, but due to the waiting line we never visited Naru. This time we did, and it is the best, Anything else is miles away. Great service, tasty food and great selection. My recommendation is to go around 7 PM since they don't take reservations.
