First of all we must thank the staff, Cristina, David, Juan, Leopold and Eva for their attention during our stay at this glamping. It was our first experience and hope not the last. Very relaxing and beautiful surroundings. To start off, We had the tuk tuk tour into Guatape Center and afterwards at 3 P.M. returned for the official check inn. As a surprise to my wife I have ordered the welcome package which was amazing. The Lake Room # 2 was decorated and dinner was also included. We loved our deck which had a Catamaran style netting and jacuzzi. We were very relaxed. The weather itself did not cooperate, no stars to be seen, only the new moon, as at around 8 P.M. rain poured down with thunder and lightning the whole night. The next morning after having had breakfast we took a private very interesting boat ride along the shores of the Guatape dam. We had lunch, dinner and snacks and we must say that everything was tasteful. Top Chef. Furthermore we definitely recommend Domus Glamping.

Hotel Zocalo Campestre is located on the Peñol - Guatapé road, at 200 meters from La Piedra de Guatapé gas station, just 8 minutes from the municipal capital. Between the common areas we have billiards, bar, restaurant, direct access to Piedra de Guatapé, coffee station, table games station.
This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in Colombia. If you are reading this review, think no more and live here! Very cozy, green, beautiful. Just fabulous houses. It is located right under Piedra del Piñol. In the morning we sat on the terrace for an hour and admired the view and listened to the birds. Beautiful panorama. A huge plus, in the morning you can walk to the Piedra and be there before all the tourists. The room is clean, has everything you need. Air conditioning is not needed, cool at night. In the morning, a pleasant woman prepares breakfast. Everything is fresh and tasty. You can always have coffee and tea at the reception. All the staff are very friendly and always helpful. The city can be reached day and night on motochivos. 100% recommend

If you’re looking for a charming hotel in Guatape, look no further than Hotel Los Recuerdos. For those interested in checking out popular landmarks while visiting Guatape, Hotel Los Recuerdos is located a short distance from Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Carmen (1.4 mi) and Guatape Dam (1.5 mi). Hotel Los Recuerdos is a charming hotel offering a flat screen TV in the rooms. The hotel features express check-in and check-out, baggage storage, and currency exchange. Plus, guests can enjoy a pool and an on-site restaurant, which have made this a popular choice among travelers visiting Guatape. For guests with a vehicle, free parking is available. Guatape has plenty of Mediterranean restaurants. So when you’re here, be sure to check out popular spots like Hecho Con Amor Deli and Del Porto Cafe & Vino, which are serving up some great dishes. The staff at Hotel Los Recuerdos looks forward to serving you during your upcoming visit.
This hotel has great views and offer a decent buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It also has a menu where you can order if it is more of your liking. Checkin and checkout went smoothly and staff is very helpful. They offer for an extra cost an evening on a boat with dinner included and it's ok to kill a few hours. The rooms are spacious and clean. My only complain would be that you literally hear everything in your room. But overall it was a good stay for our money.

Entering by boat you will arrive at the peaceful natural reserve where the eco hotel Pietrasanta is located, our most attractive are 2 cabins floating on the lake with a espectacular view of the surroundings and 12 cottages near the forest overlooking the lake. The stay at the hotel includes three meals, transport by boat, beach, fishing, swimming in the lake, guided ecological walk and campfire. You can hire floating romantic dinners, ride on the floating deck, jetski, ski, relaxing massage, picnic and donut.
After having postponed our trip to Guatape twice due to Covid we finally spent our holidays in Hotel Pietrasanta in October. This place is like heaven - completely remote (accessible only by boat), quiet with pure air. Relax, read a book, go walking, enjoy the view, play one of the games, do canoeing or swimming or just have a nice conversation with your beloved ones. We booked two "cabanas bungalow" and one "cabana flotante". The latter is definitely a highlight and don't worry the small house only sways when a boat arrives (which is very seldom). Another highlight is the staff. Every person is so friendly and tries to fulfill every wish. A special thanks to the kitchen crew. Having two vegeterian in the family is not very common in Colombia and therefore not easy to cope with. Yet, every single dish was very tasteful and delicious! Thanks Claudia for these lovely days in Guatape! Highly recommeded!

At 79 kilometers from the city of Medellín, Guatapé saw the course of a quiet agricultural and livestock town altered, when in the 70s a reservoir was installed that would start its career as a tourist attraction. Close to the place, there is the Rock of Guatapé, which stimulates the surprise capacity of its visitors, being a natural rock of 220 m, formed 70 million years ago and where a photo for the memory is obligatory, as well as in the reservoir with its artificial lake and archipelagos. Located in this place, with 27 years in the field, and only 600 meters from Piedra del Peñol, is the Bahía del Peñón EcoLodge, an area that welcomes passengers who go as a couple in an apartment with double or twin beds, as well as a cabana arranged with single and double cabins for those who go in groups of four.
A nice spot tucked and hidden away right under the rock so it has a cracking view. Very professional and well organized with the rooms well equipped and clean. The only negatives would be the tiny 'Jacuzzi' that they charge the earth for and there is no food available, you can order food in and they provide lots of options which is great. However, everything seems to be 'an extra' which I don't think should be the case if its an old kayak or such like, that has seen better days.

A renew house with beautiful places to chill and relax. Welcome
Oak Tree is less of a hostel and more of a guesthouse. It's across the bridge from Guatape so the area is less busy and a lot more peaceful. Walking to Guatape is only about 10 minutes. We visited with our 7 month old and had a great time. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly and helpful, and although we didn't use them, the common spaces were very cosy.

The views, the hospitality, the helping me find a bike tour because I was under the naive impression that I could just come and find a route on Google maps. It was as excellent a stay as I've ever had, and in one of the most gorgeous places I've ever visited, to boot. I only wish I would have booked another night.

The Hotel Guatatur is a modern space in the municipality of Guatapé committed to the local culture and its natural environment, offering its guests life experiences in the middle of charming landscapes.
My wife and I traveled to see the big rock. Upon arriving the first hotel we saw was this one. My wife wanted it. We looked around and it looked good at first look for 120.000 first floor rooms no jakkuzi and no food. Little spending for colombia in my opinion. But 200.000 for food and jakkuzi along with the room? However we left to go look for another hotel because I didn't like the price. The next we went to was 80.000 but offered way less as it appeared. So after awhile I chose the first one again which is this one. After we paid. The first problem I saw was the jakkuzi. Old, rundown, and when I walked in it it was almost as if it was a small shield over the floor instead of a real jakkuzi. Along with cracks and holes in it. It held water but it just looked insanely old. Also the hot water came out in a trinkle! The next thing I noticed is that there were no electricity plugs anywhere near the bed. They were up above at about 8 feet from the floor for the TV and 2 in the bathroom. Little odd to have none near the bed.... Upon n looking again the second day for the outlets near the bed. A wall panel just fell off the wall. I had nothing to do with it! Also I noticed the breakfast which cost 20.000 was incredible small. Of course I know in the United States it costs the same for that small amount. But to jack your prices up in a country which typically costs 5 to 8 times less than the United States just in order to make a buck is absurd. I know the laws here are most likely different and all can charge what they want in colombia. However the day previous to the last. I saw a family arrive that were colombians and they asked the cost and the hotel owner didn't see me standing there and said 80.000 per day!!!!! What a thief!!!!! I can not recommend this hotel to anyone because of the BS lies. I don't owe anyone money because I am a United States citizen and want to stay at their hotel. Charge me the same and stop the economical racism.

The project Casa Kayam springs from a multicultural meeting between art and travel enthusiasts. From our synergy, a welcoming and friendly hostel for travelers and artists was created : Casa Kayam. The house is located only 20min walk away from the village of Guatapé. Come and spend a few days with us in the heart of the nature...
The place is definitely not what the reviews show… I have stayed in hostels over 40 countries and this one was nothing to write home about. Rooms: Horrible. Bug infested, loud, uncomfortable, very dark. The windows are wide open all night so you will wakeup with a body full of mosquito bites (no nets to protect you just open buffet for the winged beasts) The windows are right in front of the lounge so all night you will hear talking (not the people who are talkings fault as where are they suppose to go?) and come 6am everyday you will be woken up by the strange oriental music they play and even more talking. Sleep is none existent here. There is one light in the room that operates at maybe 5watts… it isnt even night light worthy and nothing can be seen in the room without using a flashlight. The beds are very uncomfortable and the fitted sheet wouldnt stay in which is very gross. Bathrooms: There are literally two washrooms for the entire hostel which is beyond disgusting…. Location: Horrible. It is so far from the town tucked away near the forest so leaving to get something will take about an hour of pointless walking. The place is infested with all kinds of bugs because of this and the power / water was always cutting out. So there were 3 hrs of the day where no one could flush the toilet. You could imagine how disgusting this became…
