Located in the heart of Guangzhou Central Business District, the Vaperse Hotel is 10mins to the Guangzhou East Railway Station, and only 15mins drive to the Pazhou International Convention Exhibition Center.
Fine hotel but Vincent’s is a RIP OFF
Reviewed By jennferr419Don’t go to Vincent’s bar in the lobby of this hotel. He will rip you off and his alcohol is majorly overpriced. Vincent charged us for complimentary peanuts and charges 100 kuay for a small cocktail. It’s an absolute rip off!!!! And on top of it, he starts to smoke his cigarette in his own bar after charging us this exuberant amount of money for his services. Absolute idiocracy. Hotels nice though. But don’t go there.

Reviewed By Freedom18931430981We checked in at the Ascott Guangzhou Hotel for one night during Chinese New Year 2020. The staff was actually very friendly. In ouropinion, the whole experience was ok. Since we redeemed our frequent Traveller miles for our stay, we are also not going to complain about price. However, it is unfortunately an older hotel. Frankly speaking, until we stayed there, we expected a bit more from an Ascott Hotel.

交通真是太便利了

Only WiFi was sometime not working properly, it has been overloaded, but it is not problem of only this hotel in China. Stuff also very helpfull when needed. For sure worth of the money paid. For sure would come back if again in Guangzhou.

Rooms fairly quiet although one room's soundproofing was not great and we could hear next door, especially late at night. Bed was super comfortable. Staff were very helpful, especially in providing documentation for visa renewal. Close to everything. Towels etc changed every day. Great wifi.

Reviewed By jazpink26Given a corner unit on the 18th floor which happens to be very big, spacious & clean. Well-equipped with dishwasher, microwave oven, washing machine, hair dryer, towels & toiletries. The room is cleaned daily with towels & toiletries replenished daily. This apt is a much better deal than staying in a 4 star hotel at S$290 for 4 nights. The building is linked to the metro station called 公园前. This is the yellow line 1. Very convenient to move about in Canton. This apt is situated in a shopping Centre which has a H&M boutique, 森马 boutique & lots of great eateries like 翠华餐厅. Special mention to the group of hardworking & responsible staff especially the very sweet-natured Xiaotong who allowed us to checkout late & provided assistance in the booking of taxi to airport & giving us directions to hunt for fave eats. Some suggestions for improvements: 1) update address on your website to Zhongshan Rd 5 instead of Beijing Lu. We followed the address given on your website & alighted from taxi at Beijinglu & couldn’t find your apt. Walked from Beijinglu all the way abt 3 streets to Zhongshan Rd 5 with our 2 pieces of luggage under the 35 degrees hot sun. Luckily we met many helpful locals who gave us directions. 2) Your apt name has changed to Yichen international apt instead of Taotaoju so appreciate you update on your website so that new customers can find your location easily. 3)The TV in the room wasn’t working well even after the staff came in to help us tune it. We suspected the remote control couldn’t work as we couldn’t switch off the tv for 3 nights. We left tv on with the message on the screen “no signal”. 4) the WiFi signal in the room was very weak & sluggish. Upon closer inspection, we discovered that the gadget was hidden in the kitchen cabinet! 5) There was a group of male smokers staying on the same floor. They would smoke outside my apt unit & throw cigarettes on the floor & even on the fire extinguisher. Request that you can ban smoking within the building for safety purposes or designate smoking areas for smokers. Overall we enjoyed our stay in this apt & we would definitely return with friends in our next visit.
