When the locals want to treat themselves with an expensive' western' meal, this is their favourite. Always busy and very noisy. Expect to wait half an hour or more if you don't have a reservation. However, they serve localized 'western' food that westerners would not be familiar with. The menu is also in Chinese only so you can only rely on the pictures if you can not read Chinese. Don't expect the waitresses to understand English neither. The food is sub-par in western standard. Spaghetti is stir fried with oyster favour sauce, steaks are heavily tenderized with no taste and no texture, lamb and pork chops are better but you may not be familiar with the local spices. However, if you are desperate for some western food in a long trip, this may be a better bet than some unknown small local restaurants. At least the food is clean and safe.

Easy to find, across from China Hong Kong secondary school in Zhong Shan. Staff was nice drinks arrived quickly and food was fresh. Menus had pictures Extremadura helpful .

Food is really good, especially the small side dishes they give for free when you order any BBQ dishes. The barbequed beef comes with raw lettuce which you are supposed to wrap the meat are surprisingly tasty. One more thing, please don't go during rush dinner time as the service would be slow. Best time is before 6pm or after 7:30pm.

I have visited this restaurant several times in Zhongshan and it has always been a good experience. Good food and lovely deco inside. Try the tom yum, pork basil leaves, papaya salad and of course the mango sticky rice to finish on a sweet note!

The variety is the usual local and international selections. Had asked for a takeaway coffee but they didn't provide a sleeve for the coffee but the lady was nice enough to put into an empty cup to shield the heat.

Kingfisher offers solid Indian fare for when you're in Zhongshan but craving something besides Asian flavors. Everything we've tried has been good to great, although the prices are relatively high (as with many things non-Chinese in town). Servers speak a little bit of English and menus have photos and English so ordering is a breeze even if you're not fluent. A great place to get away and forget where you are if you need a break from Zhongshan.
