Reviews on Portuguese food in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China. Zhuhai (/ˈdʒuːˈhaɪ/, Chinese: 珠海; pinyin: Zhūhǎi; Yale: Jyūhói; literally: "Pearl Sea") is a prefecture-level city on the southern coast of Guangdong province in China. Located in the Pearl River Delta, Zhuhai borders Jiangmen to the northwest, Zhongshan to the north, and Macau to the south. Zhuhai was one of the original Special Economic Zones established in the 1980s. Zhuhai is also one of China's premier tourist destinations, being called the Chinese Riviera. While the city is located in the traditionally Cantonese-speaking region of Guangdong Province, a significant portion of population is now made up of Mandarin speaking economic migrants originally from inland provinces.

I stayed at Royal Hotel, Macau - Fado restaurant is on the M floor. I had dinner at Fado for all three nights I stayed in Macau. The waiting staff were all very attentive - on the first night, I asked for warm water. The subsequent nights, without my asking, the waiting staff just gave me warm water. The waiter, Bernie, who waited on my partner and I, was very attentive, friendly and made small conversations with us at the appropriate time. The food - soups, entrees, and main dishes were so yummy. We had to be careful with our choices because we both were small eaters, and of course, were careful with our food intake as we didn't want to get fat. The food presentation, the plating and cutlery were really great. Although the prices were a little on the high side, we were willing to spend our three nights eating in this same restaurant. Our nightly dinner cost us about HK500-600 total bill.We had patronised this restaurant in 2011, 2014 and now in 2019. We expect to return to the same hotel (clean room and carpet) and restaurant every time we return to Macau for holidays.

This little café serves many breakfast specialties. With its central location, Ou Mun is a perfect place to start your day.

Menu includes caldo soup, chorizo, duck rice, cod fillet and bacalhau (fish) balls, suckling pig, steak and fries, seafood rice, egg pudding, serradura and other traditional Portuguese dishes. They have sangria, Portuguese wine & beer. Experience traditional Portuguese cuisine in a Colonial Heritage complex which overlooks a calcada courtyard guarded by centuries-old Camphor trees. Located in the heart of the Historical Neighborhood of St. Lazarus Quarter, Restaurante ALBERGUE 1601 serv
My husband and I had lunch here during our visit to Macau, and it was a lovely experience. We loved the atmosphere of the beautiful old restaurant, and our server was so friendly and attentive, and very helpful with the menu as well, in spite of being very busy juggling a number of tables while we were there. And the food was delicious, especially the duck rice and grilled pork, both were tasty and flavourful, and generous portions as well. Desserts were equally delicious, the pineapple cake and the sawdust pudding were the perfect end to our meal. A fantastic lunch for sure!

We visited this restaurant on our last night in Macau as we were anxious to sample Portuguese food. I went for the house specialty, chicken baked in a sauce while my wife went for some type of seafood fried rice. Mine was excellent while her fried rice left much to be desires. the chicken was baked with cheese sauce and i wished i could have ordered one more. I believe that this restaurant was in a different location before. We found t to be rather small and a little untidy.

In this restaurant, the dining experience is elevated by the sumptuous environment (if I am not wrong, a mild dress code is strictly enforced at the place). The location is superb, right in the back of Grand Lisboa, and very close to the iconic Senate Square/St. Paul's Ruins. The dishes have the fine Portuguese stamp, and they are accompanied by a nice wine list. Enjoy the starters and, if possible, go for the fish. Try the salmon or the bacalhau (codfish)!

well located near a city landmark the A-Ma Temple, this little jewel is yet to be discovered. maybe because they are very low key and happy with the business volume, truth is their portuguese specialties are well worth trying: salted cod, black pork just to name a couple. The operator has family ties back in Portugal from where he imports directly and serves at the table.Even their triangular bread is one of the best, just like in Portugal.

Mariazinha is a genuine Portuguese Cuisine Restaurant. It is a family business located in the heart of Macau. You will enjoy the most traditional tastes of Portugal after visiting the most popular Macau sight, the St. Paul's Ruins. Vacations 2019: We will
It is the third time I come to Macau. I usually go to the same places because I don't like to have surprises. This time around one of usual places was disappointing and thus we decided to visit A Mariazinha. Overall it was a great experience. The steak was really good and the presentation was nice. The wine list offers many choices but we went with the Port. The Bolinhos de Bacalhau were tasty. The desert was awesome! Super Bock was available so I was a happy man! The waitresses were Filipino but they understood the Portuguese names on the menu. The service was very pleasant. The owner seemed reserved but pleasant. He did not speak to us during our stay but greeted us when we left. I do believe the prices were a bit steep but other than that we had a great experience. If we are ever in Macau again we will probably return to this restaurant.

The Educational Restaurant at the Institute for Tourism Studies, Macao is a Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand rated restaurant and awarded "2017 Certificate of Excellence Award" by TripAdvisor.
Went to Macau for a special birthday dinner, and we all loved the IFT Educational Restaurant. It was midweek, so not full. Even when all tables are full, the restaurant is quite spacious and nicely fitted out -- you don't have the crammed-together feeling that so many places in HK generate. We were warmly greeted on arrival and shown to our table. The staff at this restaurant are really committed to giving their patrons a world-class dining experience. Of course, the staff is made up of the trainers, and the trainees -- the latter category are students who are learning the ropes. So you have to be prepared for the occasional glitch (in our case it was a broken-off cork in a wine bottle). But the trainers are there to remedy any problems and they are really smooth (and by the way completely fluent in several languages, including English). And the wonderful thing about a training restaurant is that everyone is focused on trying really really hard to show you a Michelin-star-level dining experience, just because they want to make it great. And the food is wonderful!! We had the tasting menu and it was amazing. The best meal I've had in Asia in a year! Just like the best restaurants in France or Spain, the portion sizes are moderate and it is all about exploring wonderful, complex flavors and textures in the food. There were about six different courses. And the price was quite reasonable. The wine list is all Portuguese wines, and it was quite extensive, with a range of options and prices to suit all palates and budgets. The waiter/trainer who was helping us gave us outstanding advice on reasonably-priced bottles that beautifully complemented the tasting menu. All in all, it was a world-class dining experience and excellent value for money. I would warmly recommend it to all visitors to Macau who want to explore the city's culinary culture -- where West meets East. P.S. In getting to the restaurant, beware of Google Maps driving instructions. The restaurant is at the very top of the Mong-Ha hill, and if you (or your taxi driver) are being told to drive right up to the hill on "Patio do Cel. Mezquita", you will find the IFT buildings inaccessible, looming over you. You need to find the "Rampa do Forte de Mong Ha" and go all the way up it, to the top.
