We travel to San Miguel De Allende every few years and discovered this lovely ceylonese restaurant many years ago. Unfortunately, the owner moved away in 2009 and the restaurant closed. We were overjoyed to find that the owner/chef had returned to San Miguel and reopened at a new location. The food was just as great as we remembered, service was excellent and the new restaurant very attractive. Do yourself a favor and visit the restaurant. It is a short distance by cab from the Jardin and worth the effort.

I would give it 3.2 stars. Better than average, but not by much. Sushi was fairly good (the ebi was a bit weirdly concocted). The food portions are small, but the soba noodles are nice, if not a little overly limp and saturated in sauce (the food did upset our stomachs, I hate to admit). Portions are a bit on the small side. The service was fairly good, but not overly efficient. The all-outdoor seating right by a major road can get a bit tiring; you can never for a second even pretend you are in a restaurant ambience, and even less so on a chilly night.

We enjoyed a great late breakfast at Andanza. The colonial style of Casa de Sierra Nevada with its detail oriented service and delicious food makes this a great place to enjoyed a relax breakfast/brunch away from crowds. The hotel has also a nice bar. It closes early, 11pm, but it is a quiet place to enjoy a drink.Prices are very reasonable.

This varies and I probably should give it a five for Mexico but as strong in flavor and delicious as it is, it would be five for Mexico and four when compared to top US India restaurants. The service was impeccable, the menu extremely varied and choices are great. I also can't give the review I would like because I can't seem to get off the curries to try anything else on the menu because I like the main curry dishes so much. This place used to be down on Pela Seca but now it's about three block up the hill on Correo, so don't sadly think it closed like I did. If you are lucky and tourism is light, this place can be really romantic when there isn't a line and people waiting for your table. Always a "must stop" when I'm in town.
