Past two times I've found them closed for pranzo. Hope they're still in business.

historic 1600 where local potters used for the production of large Capasoni, historical photos show the connection to the Underground Castle of Grottaglie.
We had spent the morning hunting for pots to take back as presents and asked where to have a good lunch. (Note Closed Monday).
This is a large, smartish, restaurant but we were the only customers. The food is simple but good. Not special in anyway but reasonably priced. We had a pasta each. The he had a meat course and she had the assorted cheese platter. Primitivo red wine, water and coffee. €65 for two. In a town that pulls coach parties we thought this a good place to seek out for lunch. Not sure if they are open in the evening so ring and check.

The Restaurant is reached by a steep set of steps, but once you get to the top the effort is well rewarded. Internally the decoration reflects the skills of Grottaglie with fully tiled walls - amazing. We sat on a small external Terrace and enjoyed the warm evening air. The menu is all encompassing with a choice of meat, fish and a very interesting selection of pizzas (somebody has really had their thinking hat on) my pizza included Gorgonzola and walnuts, an interesting and tasty choice. My wife had a cutlet and chips which she enjoyed. Somewhere to try again.
Note: Little English is spoken (but they do try) so take your phrase book.

I ate my best meal in Puglia behind an unprepossessing storefront in the ceramics district. Local organically grown ingredients made for a truly superb meal. Cucina povera at its very, very best. I could have eaten that entire menu. I love good unpretentious food and so, this place.

Went friday with my wife and son. He ordered the pizza with tuna and onions. We had both pizza Margherita. My son insisted that I should try his pizza and so I took a bite....After midnight my son and I woke up with extreme food-poison symptoms(I shall spare the appalling details apart from the fact that only 2 days later I have been able to drag myself out of bed to write this review). So if you want to go for a suicide Mission I suggest the pizza with Tuna,100 % effective. Please note that if your Mission is to nurse your fellow companion and drag him back from the claws of death the only option is the pizza Margherita. Better bring your own cutlery, plate and medication,in case.

When we said we wanted a Sandwich, the woman at the pottery shop directed us here. It looks like a delicatessen from the outside, but inside it is an epicurean's delight. we ended up with a delightful three course meal, accompanied by spectacular wines - all recommended by the waiter. when our language skills were not up to the task, the other people dining there became involved in helping us order. which again was due to the very warm nature of our server whose good nature and good humour were infectious. the meal itself was spectacular. we had eaten at a one star michelin restaurant the night before and actually enjoyed this meal more! the staff went out of their way to make it a full and special experience - we spent some time talking with the chef and waiter who were both extremely personable. the meal we ate was of the highest quality. the ingredients were top notch and presented in interesting and original ways. we were excited to see what was going to arrive before us next. It is well worth driving out of your way to eat at this restaurant.

Food was great! They had cold beer and hot pizza. They have all the normal local pizza types you've would expect, but also some different "house specials" if you want to try something different. Look for the green "HEINEKEN BEER" sign in order to find it. (google maps 40.532332,17.438596)

My amazing holiday in Puglia was enhanced with a visit to this fantastic British beer meets Italian cuisine experience. From the moment you enter the stylish and atmospheric restaurant, you are welcomed with a sense of feeling the team are there only for you. Their attentiveness ensures you look forward to the food which was locally sourced and cooked to perfection.. The owner, Vincenzo, explained how he and his team come up with fresh ideas to exceed his customers expectations, which they did.
As a Brit, the beer on offer created a home from home, as well as sampling the amazing Italian food and drink.
There is something for everyone on the menu and to add a memory of a wonderful dining experience whilst on holiday here, this is the place to go.

They just opened a bigger place in the city center. The ice cream is good, tasty and with good ingredients. As well there is plenty of choice. Although the place is very big there isn't enough personnel therefore to get an ice cream last night I had to queue up for more than 20 min. Such a pity
