We are proud to offer authentic Neapolitan pizza here in North-West-Indiana. Our Staff has been trained by an Italian Master Pizza Chef with over 30 years of expertise. The 19th Century recipe begins with pizza dough that is made with Imported Italian flour, fresh yeast, and sea salt. Next, Imported Italian San Marzano tomatoes, plus fresh herbs and spices, are blended into a flavorful pizza sauce. Finally, Fior di Latte Mozzarella or Imported Italian Buffalo Mozzarella melts to perfection as the pizza is charred in our 900 degree Stone Wood Burning Oven. This 19th Century Italian tradition is a very meticulous process which results in a Neapolitan pizza bursting with intense fresh flavor.
I think this pizza is better than the well known, highly rated establishments in the Chicagoland area. My wife and I were introduced to Giuseppe's by her sister a little over 4 years ago. We have to have this pizza every time we visit her in Schererville which, unfortunately, is only 4 or 5 times a year. If Giuseppe's opened a restaurant in the northern suburbs of Chicago, the visits would increase tenfold along with my waistline, I'm sure. On this last visit, we sampled the meatballs and sauce. The owner explained that everything was freshly made. We all agreed that the it was out of this world. During our next visit, we can't wait to try several of the dinners that come with meatballs which we should have tried long before this. But, with limited time, we always order our thin crust pizzas to go and pick them up at the very convenient back window. By the way, we get a family sausage and mushroom and a large spinach and mushroom to ensure leftovers. Though, on this last visit, we are left with slim pickens thanks to me. What can I say? It's that good.

This is where the "cool kids" seem to hang out, it's a very irreverent, counter culture atmosphere, but the staff was very friendly to a conservative person like me, and the coffee was great!
Seems like a good place to go and do some creative work while you get a good buzz going.

My second brewery stop in town and very impressed after having been to Wildrose. I had a couple of very good small pours, took a bottle to go.

Was in Munster for work and wanted something quick for breakfast. Nothing better than a donut!
I was pleasantly surprised with delicious donuts! These were fresh, tasted outstanding and there was plenty of variety! The staff working at Munster Donuts were super friendly too!
Highly recommend!

Trolling the Southlands for a late lunch, my phone led a jaunt East across the border, into Indiana. Never off-put by a humble storefront (best recent BBQ reviewed at a GAS STATION in MO!), I sidled up to the counter....
A very friendly young lady ran me down the daily specials, while a Q-master dude detailed the chili's contents. So, a pound of tips, sides of chili and curly fries (arrived crisp as ordered); we were off to the races.
Unless pulled hot from the smoker and chopped to order, tips are tricky - falling below oven temp they tend to harden and dry out quickly, if not sauced. These were neither, which might have dismayed some. They were, however, really well smoked and tasted richly of rub. Three puddles of their "not killer hot" sauces gave just enough juice as I dissected the pieces. There was minimal fat, and virtually no cartilage. The trim was excellent!
The chili was also noteworthy for multi-textured presentation of meats - one can easily tell what was being eaten. Just spicy enough, served hot. My only criterion for curly fries is that they not flop around - these were crisp and fresh. For a joint with no stove (only smokers and fryers), they're doing OK. If I'd wanted brisket, however - my usual requirement is a grilling and slight blackening treatment of the slices. Same true for hot links - a split and grilled presentation is best, I say!
Wouldn't have minded some cooked greens on the menu, too - but after all, this is NORTHERN Indiana! Overall, pretty well done for 20-somethings..... but room for a tweak or two.

My husband decided to treat me to dinner at Theo’s restaurant. Dining at this establishment was a first for us both. His choice was an excellent one. We had a 6:00pm reservation, thank goodness because the wait time for walk-ins was an hour to hour and a half.
The ambience was romantic and quaint. The Valentine’s Day menu had excellent options that made choosing difficult. We decided on the following:
Appetizers- Oyster Rockefeller
Soup- My husband had the cheddar broccoli soup. I had the lemon rice soup
Salad
Main Course- My husband had the 18 ounce New York strip steak and twice baked potato. I had the petite filet mignon, 4 fried shrimp, twice baked potato, and vegetable medley.
Dessert- My husband had the carrot cake. I had the raspberry cheesecake.
Drinks- Tickled Pink and lemonade
The food was seasoned just right, the steaks were tender and cooked to perfection, and the drinks were mixed just right (bar tender was awesome). Everything was perfect. The plates are portioned just right for the price. The menu was reasonably priced.
Make sure you come with an empty stomach, because you definitely will leave with full, satisfied, and with a to go bag. We will definitely dine here again.

Hard to mess up ice cream, but a lot of my experience depends on the service. I've never had anything less than a favorable opinion of this place. Drive thru and inside seating available. I suggest the chocolate chip blizzard. Wow!

Love this place. Words of Proverbs are painted on the walls. The ice cream is great and prices are really reasonable. I will definitely be back on my next trip. I had the tropical banana and it was like banana pudding. Awesome! Plus they have brownies and chocolates. Looking to put on a few pounds? This is the place. Just down the road from Planet Fitness.

Went for a birthday celebration because we heard so many good things about the place. We were greeted and seated immediately. It was busy for a cold, rainy Sunday night. Thought they had a very nice selection of craft beers, wine and some cocktails. Choices were typical for a pizza restaurant -- wings, salad, sandwiches and pizza. The best part was the ability to build your own salad and pizza. Of course, the menu selections were more affordable, but if you want just one or two things on your salad or pizza, that is definitely the way to go. A large pizza was about $20.00, Honestly, not sure we will ever return, but if you haven't been, you should give it a try to make up your own mind.

I was looking for a place that had craft beer that was a brewery so I decided to stop in. There's a small area in the front that's the bar with some tables and in the back is a large room for sitting, games and other entertainment. They do have food and specialize in some Polish dishes but it was late and the kitchen was closed by the time I arrived. They have a decent selection of craft brews on tap, the ones I tried were all very good.
I'd recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area and are interested in craft beers.
