A warm and hospitable boutique resort right next to Kalia Valda ( Pindos National Park). Family run with personal service and homely atmosphere. The Black Pines Chalet ( on site) serves exquisite local cuisine with the freshest ingredients. A great place to explore Pindos National Park with a multitude of places to visit within 30-45min drive . We will return in the Fall and Winter as the place can be enjoyed in all seasons !

Clean rooms, very polite and helpful personnel, a tasty and big breakfast. Nice fireplace at the lobby and wide view of the forest and the town. Very good mattresses and pillows, so we had a perfect sleep! Overall experience is rated as very good.

Perfect central location just meters from bars and restaurants. Looks good and helpful staff But some lights not working, on arrival and a leaking sink. Wobbly fittings. Perhaps just my room but not up to standard.

We got a room with a wonderful view over the hills and Grevena. The hotel gives you the feeling of former glamour. It is very good value for money and the staff was very nice and helpful. Grevena is not a very nice city so I would recommend staying here rather than in Grevena.

Samarina is a small mountain village near Grevena mountain region at the start point for visiting the National Park area of Pindos range.Skiers visiting Vasilitsa Ski Resort (app 20 miles away) might also use the area for a short stay. Samarina Resort is a nice, recently built hotel (2010) with a modernist facade and a little too extravagant interior decoration... Rooms are spacious and bathrooms well provided. Indoor swimming pool at the basement is rather large but the water temperature should have been higher... Price for a double room without breakfast was 80 €. Minor hotel deficiencies should not deterr visitors of a real traditional greek mountain village, with a beautiful square and a memorable 100 year-old church and school.
