Great house and lovely hosts
Reviewed By 315philippoThe building itself is absolutely worth staying in this hotel. The rooms aren't too fancy, but the Flair and Charme of the building is like no other. Only topped by the great couple who owns and runs the hotel. We were the only guests at the time (thanks to Covid, incase someone will be reading this in a few years) and the owners of the hotel were extremely kind, helped us with finding a nice restaurant for dinner and arranged a great tour in the medival theatre next door. Definitely want to return.

Wished we could have stayed longer
Reviewed By Pyrino3 of us stayed here while cycling the Danube cycle path. The people were friendly, the room was well appointed and spacious, and the cuisine was traditional and fantastic. Highlyrecommended to any travellers.

Reviewed By ML25This was a lovely inn. It started with a check-in with Christine, who was so friendly and helpful to us (as were all the staff). The rooms were large and very comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh, with a home made taste to many of the items. We really enjoyed our stay here. Try to tour the old town theatre in Grein, it is fascinating!

Terrible treatment. Isolated location
Reviewed By Bárbara SWe had a two room reservations a part of our bicycle tour of the Danube. When we arrived we discovered they has changed our two rooms into one room for 5px. After a lot of negotiation we finally got back our two rooms, but one on them was way below a 4* hotel standard. But, the change of room was the least of the problems: Since our arrival we were treated pitifully, with bad manners, deceptions and lack of education. At no time was the situation raised clearly for us, nor were we offered possible solutions to our choice. To each of our complaints, the owner introduced new data to which more implausible. To this treatment we must add a few more situations that we think should be made public regarding this hotel: -The transfer from the village to the hotel (offered by the same owner) not only took place with a considerable delay (almost an hour) but he drove the van, on narrow and quite traveled mountain roads, in an extremely reckless way, involving obvious dangers. -Please note also that there is no mini bar or bathrobes in the rooms. -At the request of a medicine cabinet to heal a wound from one of the children, we are told that they have nothing. We believe this is unacceptable in a hotel, let alone one of this category. -Upon our departure we asked for the complaint forms to record these situations and the owner refused to give it to us, avoiding the fact with ironic and very distasteful phrases. Despite the quite decent facilities of the hotel, I would never recommend it due to the terrible behaviour of the staff and its isolated location

Nice stay, comfortable bed
Reviewed By sergio987Nice breakfast (especially I like coffee, salami, juice and bread), clean room and comfortable bed, nice owners. I like location because it is only 5-6 minutes (by car) away from beautiful castle Clam. On the other side it is bit out from centre and so close to the grocery store. But this accommodation is still cheaper than other in Grein. Wifi was not working good.
