My husband had a lunch meeting in Greenwood and they chose Crystal Grille for lunch. He ordered the small Caesar Salad with sliced chicken breast on the side. The waiter said that the request was not a problem.
The salad was brought to the table without being tossed; the dressing was in a plastic cup. Some of the lettuce was not fresh. The chicken was grilled, but looked like nuggets and has gristle.
The lemon icebox pie was fabulous.

Honest Abe's Donuts

Reviewed By Megan K - Nashville, Tennessee

My husband and I were in Greenwood for New Year's weekend. We were having trouble finding a place to eat for lunch on New Year's Day (we wanted something local - not a chain) and our hotel recommended that we try Honest Abe's. When we pulled up, I was reluctant. It was strange to me that a restaurant would serve donuts, tamales, and BBQ. But, I'm glad we gave it a chance. I don't eat meat so I went with the pimento cheese sandwich. It was obviously homemade but was served on plain wheat bread - nothing fancy. My husband tried the tamales and BBQ sandwhich. He says both were delicious and it was a lot of food. Honest Abe's is very casual. It has a small dining room area but you order at the counter (no table service). We recommend Honest Abe's for a quick, casual, and local dining experience.

First: Order the house made potato chips. Then order almost anything else and you will have a great meal. We tried the lettuce wraps and the salads. The bread pudding was wonderful.

This is a local owned ,very quiet young woman, when we entered, was talking to an apparent regular. She never said "someone will be with yu", nothing. We started walking, a young lady was cleaning yabkes, ask us to sit where she had cleaned. We sat as she finished and sat, finally I ask if they had menus.Owner, still 16 ft away and has said nothing. The waitress had not been told that a customer is seated ASAP, and given a menu ,then yu clean .Mind yu. We were one of 4 couples there the entire time. Also, until 3rd couple came .we weren't asked for a drink order
She took food order grilled tuna on a salad. It was at most, 3/8 thick. Cooked until I thought it was pork chop.No flavor of tuna left, and dry. EVIDENTLY the cooks weren't trained either. They dried it out cooking it way too long.I had told the waitress, yu need Deli added to your bakery sign because nobody would know yu did sandwiches. WE just happened to ask 2 ladies where we could get a sandwich. Precious young waitress, but the owner needs a jack up . Unpleasant look, not Friendly, not recognizing someone entering ,no visit to table to see if we were happy .I'm glad we were traveling thru, I wouldn't go back, even for the baked goods that we weren't asked if we wanted.Veronica is the owner. Her waitress was a beautiful Yong lady, very personable.

We arrived in Greenwood via Amtrak. You can walk to this location, but we decided to use the local shuttle service. We were there on Thursday, locals night at the bar, and found this was the favorite place of many in the Greenwood area. Food was excellent, service was great and with drinks, salad, appetizers, meal and tip we ate for less than $34 each. We have tried other restaurants in Greenwood within walking distance of the Amtrak station - and this one was the best.

Where all the locals go for great food and true prohibition atmosphere. No worry it's over but do bring your own wine and spirits. Beer is available. But just in case you forget they will send a runner to to store down the street. Great sea food, crab meat Karen is my favorite. Great real ole southern charm.

When here after seeing other reviews on tripadviser. The BLT pasta was very good. Husband had bacon wrapped scallops and for the first time grits(cheese, garlic). Both were good. Sweet young waitress. If we lived in the area this would be a go to restaurant.

A loud, bustling place with good food and pleasant service. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food very much. Fried green tomatoes, tofu & vegetables, veggie eggrolls, coconut shrimp, grilled asparagus, sweet tea... All good. We were served by a lovely young lady who had only been a server for four days. What she lacked in expertise she made up for in politeness, pleasantness and work ethic. I recommend it.
