Next to Nikosâ restaurant Icarus cafe/bar is in a prime position right on the seafront. You can sit at a table of a sofa and watch the world go by. Stel and his wife run it and are friendly and helpful, prices are good and itâs a really pleasant environment. Itâs not large and nor is it a âtypical Greek barâ â in fact the interior wouldnât look out of place in any UK city - but itâs undoubtedly the best in Fourni. It also has free wi-fi.

We found this lovely local restaurant about 25 mins taxi ride from Elounda. The food was wonderful - traditional Cretan fayre. The kitchens were immaculate and we asked the chef for her recommendation. We feasted on rabbit, goat and pork. All full of flavour. Highly recommended! Try and go at dusk because the crickets in the tree above are deafening while it's still light! After that time they settle down a bit and you can hear yourself think - and eat! Fantastic food!

Is without no doubt the best taverna for fresh fish in Fourni. Not only that Miltos is a fisherman that goes out every day and bring fresh seafood from the sea but also he is very good in grilling the fish! We have eaten one week at his taverna, and let him choose what we will eat, and God we were pleased! If you like fresh lobster, fish, this is the place to be! They also have cook food that his wife is cooking every day with fresh ingredients.The prices are very fair for the quality of the food and also the portions are big! O Miltos is the only taverna in fourni that is worth it!

This is a lovely place to sit and have your coffee and desserts. The service by the young son of the owner is very good. The desserts made by the owner, Mrs Patra are excellent. Our friends also had breakfast there and said that it was great. Definitely worth a visit.

The classic Greek "psaro taverna" but with really lots of fresh fish at fair prices ... unfortunately the positive aspects end there. The service is a little rough and the rest of the food is nothing special. The advice is to order only grilled fish and maybe a salad.
