The Local Hotel was built in 1897 as The Seaview Hotel. This iconic Fremantle landmark offers a selection of boutique rooms styled and curated by a groups of our local friends who live and love South Fremantle. Cosy, comfortable & creaky floorboards all add to the experience of staying in one of Fremantle's more memorable hotels. Only 5 minute walk from soulful South Beach and less than 10 minutes walk to the centre of Fremantle, The Local Hotel also offers a public bar, lounge, whisky bar, restaurant and casual dining areas. Please note: all rooms feature shared bathroom facilities.
nd on each visit we go to The Local. We went today and I will not go back, we walked out. The young lady behind the bar had the customer service of a newt (and that is doing the newt an injustice). My daughter has a mask exemption which she was asked for and showed but because she could not produce her doctors certificate she asked her to wear a mask which she did. She then asked for her vaccination certificate which she duly produced and she then asked for her driving licence......really! Her manner was appalling and whilst she may have been doing her job someone needs to teach her how to speak to a customer. There were three tables of customers in and now I know why. We left and went across the road to Percy Flints, amazing and the miserable youth in The Local needs to go and get a lesson from Lauren who was simply amazing, asked the questions, got the answers, smiled and received a hefty tip for her fabulous service. The sign on the window opposite said a lot about the obvious attitude that is being reflected inside The Local and after Covid I think bars will need to respect that people can talk with their feet.

Quiet, cosy, a place to call your temporary home. Rooms are decent size and cater to your every need. Lodge, bathrooms and communal areas are cleaned everyday by the gorgeous housekeepers. The only downside is that the front of house of staff are really attractive and that can be a distraction when your in a rush, especially that Italian fella. Big love.

I cancelled a recent booking due to lockdowns and was very quickly given a credit which I used again a few weeks later with no problems. This is what I would consider more budget accom but felt we definitely got our moneys worth, if not more. Very friendly and helpful staff.....we were those awful guests that wanted extra milk, cutlery for our Uber eats etc etc and the chaps on shift couldnt have been more obliging. We had a family room and it was clean and comfortable, plenty of towels and a hot shower. WIFI was good and things were reasonably quiet. We had an appointment in Fremantle the next morning and made it in approx 15 min in750am traffic. The Hotel is in a commercial area but Im guessing no one is there for long evening strolls!! Only down side was that the cafe ( which was supposed to be open at 530am) was closed. No big drama we just got our coffee in Freo. Would I stay again?? Yes in fact Im booking again next week. Give them a go you.

The pub is the heart of the community, and the people of Nedlands call Captain Stirling Hotel their local. It's a place for friends to meet, families to relax and everyone to enjoy themselves. Thoroughly surprised. We live in the area and never though to go inside. Absolutely loved it! Wonderful decor, two male staff served us and they were superb. Really cant believe we have not come in sooner. See you again!

This newly renovated iconic hotel offers comfortable rooms, at affordable prices, topped off with excellent customer service. Australia Hotel Fremantle has a total of 35 rooms which are perfectly suited to couples, families, business travellers and tourists. Only 700 metres from the "cappuccino strip", Fremantle's vibrant hub. It is 15 minutes walk to the Little Creatures Brewery. Cottesloe Beach is 15 minutes drive away. Great location with a plethora of restaurants, pharmacies and supermarkets nearby, not to mention our own in-house bar which plays cable tv sports with nice priced drinks everyday. Continental breakfast is available each day for $10. We offer free tea & coffee as well as free parking. The hotel features shared bathrooms, so we can offer you one of the most competitive room rates in Fremantle.
We had an evening meal with friends midweek. This old pub has recently been refurbished and is a pleasant change from the loud yubby and trendy bars popping up all over the area. Good choice of beers on tap and a decent wine list. The meal was your usual "pub grub" but done very well. The staff were very cheerful and pleasant. Well worth a visit if you are looking for someplace a bit traditional.

This motel is in need of a good scrub and a paint job. The bathroom was putrid and full of mould, you shouldn’t walk out of the shower feeling dirtier than when you went in. There’s no excuse for a dirty room regardless of it being a budget motel. On the plus side the lady on reception was lovely and the bed was very comfortable but I felt so gross sleeping there. Never again!

Fabulous relaxed setting. Bedding is fresh and room is clean. Food is fabulous! Slice of Heaven in the hills! Spent 2 days in the spa and resting in the day bed. Enjoyed an outdoor hike and visiting the boutique vineyards too.

Second time staying there. 4 Years ago, the Manager agreed they had a lot of work to do to upgrade the resort to Karma standards but it was still the same. Old & dirty looking slate floors, fans no aircon. Outside balcony was a terrible, cobwebs, one dirty white chair & one dirty lounger, dirt in the screen door slider. When requested extra chairs came, they arrived with cobwebs on the bottom & our comments about this were ignored by cleaning staff. Positives: firm bed, plenty of hot water & a great hot breakfast each morning. All staff we dealt with were good At $250+ a night expensive for such a poor standard compared with city hotels.

Back in the UK I worked away a lot, and have stayed in a wide selection of accommodation from cheap B&Bs to expensive hotels and lodges in numerous countries. In comparison, this accommodation ranked well. Very clean and tidy, good facilities, friendly, and value for money. No cooked breakfast, just continental if you want suited me just fine.?
