We broke our whirlwind dash across several states at Grants, New Mexico for a solid night sleep, carefully choosing our hotel to be just five minutes from this steakhouse. It was well worth it! La Ventana offers a friendly staff, chalkboard jokes, Angus steaks, Prime Rib served rare or however you want it, signature New Mexico cuisine, fresh fish and other seafood and salads the way you want them, as well as a nice selection of wines and mixed drinks. They got our vote when they had our favorite sparkling water, San Pellegrino. The classic dive atmosphere includes leather booths and TVs for locals and travelers who may lack dinner companionship. We highly recommend La Ventana.

This coffee house is comfortable and even serves sandwiches. The coffee is a little over-priced, so I don't go often, There is a board advertising items for sale and for rent and couches and tables for relaxing or reading.

The restaurant is located right off the interstate, so it couldn't have been more convenient. We had several servers freshening our coffee and waters. We had huevos rancheros, with a local flair of red Deming and green Hatch salsa...delicious.

Built new restaurant in 2011, same location for 31 years we now seat 113 and offer a banquet room that seats 50. We are on the corner of Nimitz and Santa Fe Ave. on historic Rt. 66, just 1 mile off of I-40. We serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. New Mexican food made fresh daily at reasonable prices.
This is another of those reviews where I wish there was a good option because average seems a bit harsh but don't think it was quite good enough for very good.
We stopped here for dinner when we spent a night in Grants.
I had the chicken fried steak which was ok.
Mainly New Mexican food and my partner was happy with his mixed platter to sample as much as possible.
Service was good and staff friendly.

On the road with the RV and pulled in to the Bar S Campground. Hungry after a long day of travel & storms. Too tired to go out, looking for pizza delivery & bingo! We find Surf Shack Pizza delivers to the campground, and has a reputation for great pizza. They did not disappoint on either; delivery was ahead of the scheduled time, and the driver was very friendly. We ordered two pizzas and both were very enjoyable. Ultra thin was a little burnt around the edges but still I would say a very good pizza. Wife's regular crust with mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, extra cheese was cooked just right, but extra cheese may have been missing. We will definitely be back on our next trip through Milan.

When we are in New Mexico we don't usually think of Chinese food. Well were we pleasantly surprised
We decided on safe dishes beef and broccoli along with chicken with garlic sauce. Not only were we rewarded with large servings but great renditions of two classics.
The chef spent many years in the restaurant business in LA. Clearly he brought those talents with him
This is a restaurant worth getting off the 40 to visit

I can't say enough nice things about this restaurant! Do not hesitate to walk in as the inside of the restaurant is quite nice. The food is awesome and vegetarians will find the salad bar, fried okra, onion rings, and pickles to their liking.
We dined here twice and if I am ever in the neighborhood I would return. The owner uses high tech, servers have touch screen ordering capabilities and the same is used for charging credit cards. The servers wear the printer for your receipt! Very cool!

I am a little biased we have eaten here for years and it remains one of our very favorite places to eat. It is a family owed and operated establishment that is always good! The variety is very good and whether you eat from the buffet or order from the menu you will not be disappointed.

Blake's is a burger and burrito restaurant with a New Mexico twist, think chilis, red or green. Also serves breakfast
Stopped by here while passing through Grants because the place we wanted to go to was closed. It was kind of depressing and has a very limited menu. Very disorganized and pales in comparison to other fast food chains in terms of cleanliness, organization and options.
