This motel was completely renovated recently and it is apparent that the new owners have put their heart and soul into running it. The rooms are immaculate - absolutely clean with quality fixtures and fittings. Moreover, the nightly tariff was very reasonable. On their website, there was a stipulation that a two night stay was required for the date of our intended stay (we stayed for only one night as we were en route back from Noosa to Canberra). When I rang them, the owner, Michael, was able to book us in for one night and he provided other useful information such as recommended places to eat. He also gave us a discount for booking direct with them! At time of check in, I found Michael to be very personable and affable and I ended up chatting with him for about 30 minutes while my wife waited in the car. She finally rang me on my mobile thinking that something had gone wrong with our booking, but it was nothing of that sort. I highly recommend this motel. We will certainly like to return.

A beautiful Queenslander style B&B situated in lovely Stanthorpe on the Granite Belt. Logger's Rest offers modern comforts in an old world charm, boasting four luxurious bedrooms with ensuites, spacious communal areas, woodfires and air conditioning. An idyllic place to wind down after a day exploring the national parks and wine country, but also just a short walk to local restaurants, shops and bars. Guests will enjoy their own choice of breakfast, ranging from seasonal fruit, cereal and yoghurt to a variety of cooked options - together with juices, tea and coffee. During their stay guests may wish to relax on the Chesterfield by the fire, enjoy a glass of wine on the verandah, stroll around the beautiful gardens or play a game of pool or table tennis in our fully equipped games room.
We were met on arrival by the lovely Paula who quickly helped us to feel at home in her modern but period styled home. The warmth was personal and not just the ever burning wood stove that gave the whole property a cozy feeling. Room was clean and comfortable. Paula gives a choice of breakfasts which you don't want to miss, and overall made us feel so at home I went to wash up! Car parking out back near your room, there are plans for the property so we shall be back to see the changes in time. Thank you again Paula for a wonderful; stay and for the recommendations of what to see and do and places to eat.

Overnight stay was ok, rooms old but clean and tidy. No breakfast or meal service available although it has a microwave and toaster no cutlery or crockery. Asked at reception and were given plates and cutlery. Although we were there on a Saturday night not much was open in town for meals except seemingly a small number of pubs and clubs if you knew where they were. The only cafe suggested by the manager was closed too.

Overall a nice little spot. However, the mattress/bed in our cabin (14) would have to be one of the worst I have ever “tried” to sleep on! So a largely sleepless night. Nice to have a wood fire in the cabin though. Good provisions provided for breakfast and good wines to choose from as well as their beers.

We loved our stay in this lovely location. So quite, clean and close to Stanthorpe. Only thing so people might fine a problem is stairs within the cottages as bedroom is raised. Owners are fantastic. Going back in 6 weeks

Could walk around the corner of the room and sit on the verandah for drinks if you wanted but we were back late from Carnell raceway to enjoy. The manager was friendly and welcoming. The Vines is in an excellent location, on the banks of the beautiful Quartpot Creek which has several kms of walking and bike riding tracks woven throughout pristine parks - all perfect for picnics. After the recent rains, the creek was teaming with birdlife while the changing colours of the autumn leaves provided a picture-book backdrop. There are also swings and other fun facilities for kids near the The Vines and on the banks of Quartpot Creek. Shops, pubs and cafes are only a short stroll away - perfect if you want to have a couple of drinks with dinner. Despite being short staffed over Easter, the young couple who run The Vines could not do enough to make me feel welcome and looked after. The premises were very clean, the meals were wonderful and complemented by wines from a local winery.
