Louisiana natives treasure a day at the beach on the barrier island known as Grand Isle, just a short drive from the city. Known for its great fishing spots and even deep-sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico, at the Grand Isle State Park you can camp or just spend the day picnicking. This tiny sea-side town hosts the Cajun Rodeo, which draws 15 times its normal population annually. Besides fishing, Grand Isle is also known for its birding trails which consists of nearly 60 acres of marsh and Chenier forest habitat and the hosting of The Grand Isle Migratory Bird Festival – an annual three-day event.

Service here was great and they were very friendly, the food was just okay and it was expensive, we had been traveling across the south for several weeks and have been enjoying wonderful seafood and this was just merely edible if you're hungry. We found everything else on the island to be expensive as well so they were in line with that.

This store has everything! Food, tools, camping equipment, toys, paint, beer and wine, and cooked pizzas! We went for a few necessities and found so much more. As for prices they were pretty reasonable too. The employees were very friendly and helpful.

This is basically a gas station/convenient store who serves burgers, Po-boy and fried chicken. Their is two tables inside and a couple more outside. We ate burgers they were tasty, the service was courteous and quick. Considering that they're very few places to eat in Grand Isle I would definitely recommend Jo-Bob's.

We had breakfast. Affordable and good food. The building was clean and the staff was very friendly. Easy parking. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They are open in the off season.

even though there was not a lot of food to choose from the costarican meal with pork was just amazing, seasoned really well, cooked to perfection. Will definately be eating here again.

I guess they are on island time. Very inattentive to us and also others around us. We had duck wonton appetizer which was delicious. Also very good was the bronzed Cajun chicken and the shrimp platter. Not very many choices in this little fishing village so we will be back.

Consistent with other Subways in that you can have a sandwich created as you wish.
My wife had a chopped salad which she liked very much.
Restrooms are clean and modern, the only ones on Grand Isle in that condition. (There are no public restrooms anywhere on the island that I know of.)

Great boiled seafood. Order ahead and pick-up. They know their business! Some of the best boiled shrimp, crabs and crawfish I have ever had.

The fish tacos are the best I've ever had! I order them every time I go now...sometimes for both my appetizer & my meal!
The ribeye was also cooked perfectly and was so flavorful!
There's usually a wait, but the service has always been good once we're seated.
