We ordered two dishes and this review is based upon those two. We might just have been unlucky, or ordered the wrong thing, but the food was not good. The dishes were Entrecote and a mix of beef and chicken which was grilled by ourselves on a pierrade (grill-stone).The Entrecote was extremely chewy and full of fat. What could be eaten tasted quite OK though and it was grilled perfectly as per my request. The pierrade meat was not marinated at all so the meat was more or less tasteless. The only thing saving the place was the nice waitress and her good service.

Created in April 2014, the P'tite Sophie restaurant in Gérardmer embodies the mischievous spirit and creativity of chef Hervé Cune in a warm and cosy ambiance. Its "gourmet-bistro" menu is put together by the starred-chef of the Jardins de Sophie, and car
We had a very nice lunch. The menu is quite limited but the dishes are very attractive and everything is very fresh. We had 2 starters and 2 mains, which made us happy. The good thing is that there is also a menu with 3 courses for the 'petit gourmets'... Our 7 year old son enjoyed every dish.

This restaurant is not of high class, it has traditional wooden tables and chairs, no table cloth, it is not a place of fine dining. The service was slow, but if you are not in a hurry this is not always a bad thing. The food... we are talking about traditional cuisine, heavy, greasy!! Best suited for winter! The staff does not speak English and makes very little efforts to satisfy the needs of the guests! We had the raclette and Fondue, beside the long wait and the problems ordering, the food was good! The cheese was abundant and of good quality, got a lots of potatoes and oil to fried them... Over all an average but traditional experience...
