Le Jardin

Located away from the bustling park of town, this little restaurant could be easily missed. Greeted by the most friendly waiter who went his way to make us feel welcome and took the trouble to explain every dish on the menu with his limited English but excellent body gestures. Thereafter we were in heaven when each dish was presented. The foie gra pan fried was devin, duck orange cooked to perfection, seafood risotto and gnocchi (pan fried each piece) was far better than any I have tasted from the Italian menu....... the rest that followed were equally good. Just go and try it yourself

Brasserie Pompidou

We had lunch there with our four children after visiting nearby museum (and trying the museum restaurant first). In this very typical french brasserie, we were positively surprised by a very friendly and quick service, a family-friendly menu (not common in france) and absolutely delicious food! Our children would have licked the plates if we didn't remind them of the manners. They each got a little sorbet for dessert. My husband and I loved our food - traditional for the region veal. We recommend: don't desserts - they are absolutely delicious!

Maison Dufosse - La Brasserie

Une cuisine raffinée et accessible dans une atmosphère décontractée « En imaginant le concept de la Brasserie, j’étais animé par la volonté de créer un espace convivial proposant une cuisine à la fois raffinée et accessible. Le résultat est en tout point

Located in a former Citadelle which hosts today the best hotel in Metz is “La Brasserie Christophe Dufosse”. The brasserie is under the same management as "Magasin aux Vivres" , crowned by one Michelin star. The lunch menu offers a very good value for money. The brasserie has a modern and simple décor but the food is of a very good quality. I found the portions rather generous despite the remarks of some of the reviewers. The ingredients, the presentation and the taste of the dishes clearly indicate that there is a great chef behind it. The staff was very courteous and nice, as I would expect. It is a brasserie and by definition it is a more laid back place – if you want to propose to a girlfriend do not be stingy and go for the full experience at the “Magasin aux Vivre”. If you want to enjoy great food when visiting Metz – it is a very good choice.I was a bit surprised that the menu was handed to me on a tablet. It would be fun if I could see the colour pictures of the dishes but to read a menu on a screen does not provide any new experience. Anyway I come to brasserie for food and not for innovative gadgets.Dear Guest,We very much appreciate your comments regarding your meal at the Brasserie. It is always a pleasure to receive positive feedback. Kind regards,Delphine & Christophe Dufossé
