The splendid building was originally a bank (Société Génerale). Brigitte Gallois, who had a large restaurant hotel about 3kms from Thionville, bought the building to downsize and simplify her life. She was what made the restaurant prosperous: charming, elegant, a wine lover and expert. Her son now manages the place. For perfection in food and to be presented with a selection of wines that complement each course of your meal in ways you could never accomplish, this restaurant is simply parfait.

I took my parents here for lunch to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary. The food was very good, the presentation matched the taste experience. The service was professional and discreet, the wines were excellent and the overall experience was a very pleasant one. There was a good selection of courses and set menus to suit most budgets, including a very reasonable business menu, available each lunchtime and in the evenings for over 10 people (to reserve in advance) for â¬25. Then 2 other set menus at â¬45 and â¬55. In addition to the 3 courses, there was also an amuse bouche, a pre-dessert course, and petit fours with the coffee. We have been here for a wedding, and one evening with our young son, and every time the experience was a good one and in my mind also very reasonably priced.

Ate lunch here my first day in the City. Was so impressed with the vegetarian salad that I came back for dinner the next night and ate it again. The salad had so much fresh variety - lettuce mix, avocado, hearts of palm, tomato, corn, artichoke - and was uniquely presented in a âshell.â First meal I had the local beer; second was a splendid wine from the Shengen region (Pinot Blanc). The service here was also quiet good. I would most definitely eat here again on a future visit.

Very nice restaurant with traditional french cook like a real winstub in Alsace. A lot of sweet all day long.
Great experience. The "Jambonneau" was fantastic. The meat was melting on my tongue, came with salads, roesti. The mustard was just right spicy, but not too much. Had a little pitcher of white wine. The little flam my wife had came with a salad. Other details:Outside seating, though not picturesque (parking lot) and in France people would choose those seats, because they smoke. No wifi and you mightn't have an internet connection inside from your provider, if you are not at terrace end. You miggt be able to access the shopping centre's wifi, if you are on that side.Clean spacious bathrooms. Friendly staff. Rustic atmosphere. Hello thank you so much for your nice comment. It will be as pleasure to see you again in our restaurant.

A very, very focused kitchen.Intense tastes, very well prepared. We had a really nice evening, service efficient and humoruos.( hmm- my wife said: charming:).Entrees: combinations of meat and fois gras with a delicious small salad. Main course : spiced lamb in an envelope, potatoes with a Spiced pesto. Vegetables cooked precisely al dente.Somehow a fusion between The best of modern french kitchen with a touch af middle east and a chef who knows what he is doing!Wine recommendations from service perfect!!Good luck and thanks for a nice evening.

For me in Thionville, probably the best restaurant if you are looking for a refined cuisine in a nice setting. Just astonished by how often cream appeared in most of the dishes;-) Was good though. Thanks for a really nice evening.

We called here on our way from Rotterdam to Dijon as it is just off the motorway in a small food court area of the centre commercial. The appeal was the offer of baked potatoes with a wide selection of fillings (as well as other choices). The service was quick , the food was hot and tasty and it was good value - what more could you wish for! In our book as a good stop for lunch on our travels.
