Isleta El Espino offers a respite from the dusty road and, with only five guest rooms, the quiet serenity of a private island. Birds, monkeys, breezes are the soundtrack of the islands. The lodge features a swimming pool, yoga platform, massage facilities, intimate bar, and dining. El Espino is just minutes away from the historic city of Granada and an array of activities including hiking, boating, horseback riding, dining, shopping, and exploration. El Espino is off-grid with power courtesy of the sun.
My girlfriend and I stayed at the hotel for one night and can only highly recommend it. The room was lovely and had a lot of beautiful details. The staff of the hotel was highly professional and very friendly. The hotel was built and is managed completely by locals, which makes it authentic. Kayaks for discovering the shores of the island and the lakes are included. Many birds visit the island and you can book a lake tour with the hotel for further bird watching and wildlife in general. We did not know a lot of birds beforehand but got really nice insights from the knowledgable guide. Even though, the hotel is in the upper price range for Nicaragua, the price-performance ratio is very good. Especially, if you consider what you would pay for such a service in Europe.

More than a place in the world, a house is a place in one's heart. El Patio del Malinche is more than just another hotel, it's a dream come true. Our interest to live in a different culture and to get to know new horizons took us to the ancient town of Granada. The sun-dried bricks of Granada's old walls and the hospitality of its people bewitched us. By restoring an old colonial house we relived a life of peace and serenity created by its inside patios full of history. We hope our guests will be able to revive and share with us the atmosphere of other times. We will be delighted to share our house, where life pours from every corner.
I've stayed in several hotels in Granada including Tribal and Colon Plaza. I was delighted by this one - the colonial courtyards, pool and bar area, the artwork thoughtfully curated from local organizations. A courteous staff, a welcome reception, and I was able to choose a room near the pool and they served me breakfast extra early. I parked right out front. So quiet for being in the middle of everything.

Miss Margrit's is a stunning Colonial Guest House boasting two vibrant tropical courtyard gardens and a revitalizing swimming pool. With only six double rooms our guests can enjoy the luxury of a boutique hotel within the privacy of a private home. The rooms are spacious, each with air-conditioning, walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom. Delicious Breakfasts with fresh juice and artisan bread is included. Includes: Wi-Fi, indoor parking, laundry service, computer facilities, library and Cable TV lounge.
Awesome setup. Walking distance to city center. Humongous courtyard, so you can pull your car into the courtyard, have it under shelter safe and secure, and see it from your room depending on which room you get. They give me a key to the pedestrian gate, so I could come and go after hours. Rooms are great, and breakfast was tasty.

Located in front of the main plaza, Hotel Plaza Colon has become a landmark of the colonial city of Granada. Our top notch colonial style facilities and our 100% Nicaraguan staff will make your stay a memorable one.
I stayed at Hotel Plaza Colon in May 2022 and it was a fantastic experience mainly because the staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming. They make you feel like you're the only guest there as I really think the only answer they know is "yes". Sadly, there weren't a lot of guests there due to the political issues and it being rainy season, however I would go back in a heartbeat. The hotel itself is beautiful and the interior courtyard/pool/breakfast area is very charming. The room I stayed was very large and the bath/shower were quite nice. Breakfast was very good that was included and the only issue was there was noise coming from nearby bars at night.

Everything about our stay here was perfect. The hotel is right in the centre of Granada, about 2 minutes walk from where our bus (from Leon) dropped us. Restaurants, bars, cathedrals and the market were all so close by, yet despite staying over a weekend there was no noise to disturb our sleep. The owner, Gerry, gave us many amazing recommendations, as well as directions around the city, and helped us book trips. Compared to every other pace we have stayed in our month in Nica the hotel is the most western friendly, with hot water, toilets that you can flush paper and air conditioning. Breakfast was beautiful, each morning Gerry made pancakes and we were also given fresh fruit and toast. Use of the communicable kitchen along with fridge for drinks was available, and there was a water filter machine to fill bottles also free. Nice modern TV in the room with ability to log into Netflix. Can’t believe the value for money this hotel offers!

Condos Xalteva is the first of it’s kind in Granada. It combines timeless colonial design with modern conveniences. Located in the safe residential neighborhood of Xalteva, the name “Xalteva” (pronounced “al-TAY-vah”), refers to the original indigenous peoples who were in Granada before the Spanish Conquest. Built in 2007, by visionary/founder/president D. Jay Snyder they are the first available condominiums in this beautiful colonial city of Granada whose mission is, “To create and provide comprehensive comfort, value and lifestyle options to all guests and visitors whether it be for a transit traveler or a lifelong resident” through, “high quality attention to details, customer service, employee training and development and support of the local culture and environment.”
Excellent and friendly staff! Beautiful condos and views of Mombacho. Well kept. Everything you need available. Great swimming pool and beautiful garden area. Peaceful and safe area. Totally enjoyed it!! Sure we will stay again in the future!

Los Patios Hotel is a boutique design hotel located in Granada, considered the most beautiful city in Nicaragua. The hotel features five patios, an outdoor lap pool with natural spring water and a recently built Spa area. In designing the hotel, the Danish owners blended the modernity of Scandinavian style with the tradition of Spanish colonial style.Amenities in each of the five hotel rooms include air conditioning, ceiling fan, cable tv, wireless internet service, as well as many other details to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Our deluxe suite features its own personal balcony with a magnificent view of the Cocibolca Lake and its islands, the Mombacho volcano, the Cathedral and the mountain chain of Granada.
We stayed in Los Patios for 3 nights to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted somewhere which had a little bit of luxury and Los Patios was a perfect find. Only a 10min walk from Parque Central de Granada or very short taxi ride we found it to be a great location. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by staff and the check in was easy. We also found out we were the only guests staying in the hotel so having the place to ourselves was a rare treat. The hotel has a Scandinavian design to it, largely open planned and very spacious. Comfy hammocks, hanging chairs and loungers by the pool. Our balcony room was large, clean and very comfortable. Great balcony views looking across the town and over to Volcano Mombacho. The bathroom was also massive with shower and bath (we didn’t use the bath in the end because we didn’t think there was any hot water). Breakfasts in the morning were delicious. Typical Nicaragua or a continental option, both came with fruit, juice and amazing coffee! Again the staff were lovely, we’d recently taken spanish lessons so they were kept getting us to practice Spanish throughout our stay. They were also very helpful with local recommendations and info. Couldn’t recommend this place more if your looking for a place to stay. It might seem pricey compared to other options but this a very lovely, quiet and reasonably priced option near the center of Granada.

This is our second stay at Hotel Dario. The hotel is located on Calle La Calzada. This is the main street in Granada where most everything happens in the evening to the wee hours of the morning! Upon our check in, we were indulged with two complimentary Margaritas! The attention is beyond excellent! We went to our room which was situated on the main floor across from the interior garden and entry to the hotel. The room is ample in size as well as the bathroom. We chose not to have the balcony views this time around in order to not have the distractions from the street below. The following morning, the Breakfast Buffet awaited us in the early AM, the buffet is varied having something for everyone! The staff is excellent in meeting the needs of their clients! The hotel offers all your typical amenities - bar, pool, restaurant, WiFi. Nothing is lacking! I am already looking for a three-peat as this will be my home away from home when in Granada!

Hotel con Corazon is a boutique hotel in Nicaragua. Located in the city, in a colonial building with fifteen rooms, a restaurant, bar, patios and a swimming pool. The hotel offers all the modern comforts a traveler desires. It's a place that feels like a home away from home. But these simple luxuries aren't even what makes this hotel so unique. Your stay helps Nicaraguans build a brighter future, as 100% of our profits are invested in education.
Great value for money and for the fact that it is a non-profit hotel it is worth the 4 stars. Breakfast could be improved and setved earlier than 8am. Pool area is loud with guests talking and being on the phone from 6am onwards. This means you are awake since your room is right next to it.
