The host was very welcoming, the rooms were well-equipped, clean, quiet and private. Just a few minutes walk to the beach and restaurants. I didn't have time for breakfast but I'm sure that would have been lovely too.

Spent an evening here for our wedding anniversary. The accommodation was everything you would expect from a 4 star establishment. Room beautifully decorated and comfortable. The talking point for us was the view form the veranda and braai area. We could see part of the view from our room as only some of the rooms have a full view, but this is understandable. Breakfast was fine, but you would expect a bigger variety. We felt welcome and could enjoy sundowners on the balcony and actually thought of having a braai at this beautiful place, but opted to go out for supper as the evenings are chilly during this time of the year. Overall, a place we would gladly recommend.

On arrival we were met by a young lady who could not be bothered to speak to us only beckoned us to our rooms which were dirty and not very well equipped. The bed linen was very off white and pillows stained with black marks. There was no milk in the rooms for coffee and the wifi was supposed to work everywhere but it was not very good at all. There were cobwebs around the windows and doors and outside furniture, looked like this place had not been cleaned in months and there was an open kitchen bin full of stinking rubbish alongside the sitting area. The lady had already left and said she will be back in the morning. She came in and started cooking breakfast, not even asking what we would like and when my sister told her shes vegetarian she just looked away and didnt respond. Either shes downright rude or does not understand english but either way its not good enough to treat your guests like this. When she served breakfast she went outside on her phone, smoking and shut the door. We had to ask for more coffee as she didnt want to speak at all it seemed like too much trouble for her. On leaving she just held her hand out for the keys and walked off. What a terrible place I would NEVER stay here again and it cost us more than some of the other perfect guesthouses.. a total waste of hard earned money.

Supporting all modern conveniences, Blue Horizon offers guests a calm, tranquil atmosphere with breathtaking sunsets across False Bay and the awe-inspiring beauty of the mountains. Relax and enjoy the tastefully decorated rooms, warm hospitality, delicious breakfasts and cooling swimming pool.
The establishment was immaculately clean to the point of being sterile. Overly functional, it lacked any warmth so much so that we couldn’t bring ourselves to stay. It was also more inaccessible from town than we had anticipated.

Due to windy conditions, the tv was not working and there was only a few programs to view! Although owner warns us, the sloppy paintwork in the main kitchen was the reason for a very strong smell. Thanks for a clean room!
