I was told it had been revamped since my last visit. Disappointed does not even touch the surface. Behind the bar staff were the only good thing about it. Food ordered was nothing like what is on the website. Fish and chips, usually you can't go wrong, but greasy dark brown batter was disgusting. Chips were like McDonald's fries.WTF. Schnitzel came out as a very dark brown tough piece of crumbed chicken. That's it no greens unless you order and pay extra for. Only specialty beers, one beer, one orange juice and one gin and tonic $27. Bottles of wine only cheapest being $40 for a house wine. Twice bitten now will never go back. ps: your tall male table staff Member is very rude.Hi Jenny, So sorry to hear you really did not have a great time with us here at Sandbar. We love this place. If you get a window seat you can see the surf. The service is always great, very attentive even though itâs always packed. Book in advance if you donât want to wait for a table. We ordered two mains and a started and still couldnât eat it all. My son eats like a horse lol. Ribs (beef are my fav) are juice and tasty. Garlic prawns are lovely too. Although menu looks quite expensive these dishes are best shared. Love this place

We were looking for casual dining with a good atmosphere close to Surfers and found Fiddlers. Very happy we did. Great food, decent prices and pleasant staff made this a relaxed and enjoyable evening. The meals were a good size and the drinks well priced. Unfortunately we had to leave before the music started on this particular Friday night, but all agreed to go back and stay longer next time. With a pool table, live music, heaps of indoor and outdoor seating and a basic but âsomething for everyoneâ menu, we highly recommend trying Fiddlers Green.

Ok, so we are here from NZ for 7 days to do Gold Coast, looking to watch the Super rugby finals while having dinner tonight. We checked and double checked that we could do this before we went in ( family of 4). We ordered food ( well over $250) and were not welcome stay for the duration of 80 min match! We were meant to leave halfway during the game when we finished eating! Very disappointing welcome, would not have been treated that way in NZ.

Stayed at the Dorchester apartment for our babymoon (with a 2yo on tow) had breakfast at NCSLC thanks to the recommendation from the host of our apartment. This place did not disappoint. Great beach side views. Relaxed atmosphere. Quick and friendly service. Delicious fiod and coffee. We loved it so much we didnt try any where else for breakfast the whole trip (ok 3 nights)

After visiting longboards in Townsville thought we'd all 5 adults would give this one a goWe all had burgers and were all happy. Just thought a few chips with the burger woudnt break there bank.As we ordered 2 serves of fries as an extra this was to much.so maybe next time 1 would be enough. Some Carlton draught beer would be good also sorry not into boutique beer. Will return again.Thanks keep up the good work.

Would give 1 star but the staff was super nice. Food was awful. I got 10 wings. The "original" flavor is basically ketchup. The "Peri Peri" is ketchup with some pepper flakes. The beer paddle is WAY over priced. They essentially give 6 double shots of beer for $22. Then they say they give a "free mug of your favorite beer" which is a crock because the paddle is already way overpriced.

Recently stayed at the Marriott for work over a two week period. I was amazed at the service , especially by one of the bar-tenders (Beau). He was so welcoming & allowed me to thurrely enjoy the Marriott expierence.
