Another visit to Avvia and as per usual the atmosphere, staff service and food was amazing. Not often do you find consistency of this kind I'm restaurants. Perhaps it's because they pride themselves on ensuring a dining "experience" above all else. Started with prawn dumplings, then we shared the lamb and prawn gnocchi. Finished with chocolate souffle. We accompanied our meal with a beautiful bottle of Syrah. Every dish was cooked to perfection. Do yourself a favour and give Avvia a visit.Meagan, thanks for leaving such a wonderful review. The Boatshed at Currumbin is the last of the local's secret spots on the Gold Coast. With some of the best water views on the coast, you'll want to stay all day and watch the world go by. Grab some friends and settle in for some tapas and cocktails over l
Cannot fault this place! Formerly The Boat Shed, SaltWater exceeds expectations. Grilled fish was exceptional, Lamb Parpadelle was so tasty, not to mention wonderful service!

After a walk from Coolangatta we wanted a quick bite before returning to Melbourne at the airport. Was surprised to find this cool little cafe with a very relaxed atmosphere. Lovely coffee, scones and toastie which was delicious and generous. We stayed for some time with no push from staff to leave once we had finished. Easy walk across the highway to airport

Burgster comes from humble beginnings, serving up an offering of nostalgia and Williamsburgs (NYC) trendy culture. Are you a Burgster?
I might be a bit out of touch with how much it costs for a decent burger, but I certainly don't think we got good value here. Over $40 for a pair of burgers that didn't come with any sides and left me still hungry. That being said the burger I ate was absolutely delicious! I had the 'brodeo' which isn't on the regular menu but was from the specials board. My partner had the hot ugly chicken burger. I really should've snapped a picture as they looked fantastic - except for the fact that the BBQ sauce from mine had already gone everywhere and the bottom bun was already soggy from sitting in the sauce. This made it difficult to eat but there's no way I was going to get through this thing without making a mess anyway. It was an exceptionally tall burger, but not very wide. About as wide as a fast food burger, which was disappointing considering the $23 price tag.My partner was very happy with her burger and said it had maybe one touch too much spice for her, so it was bearable. But she agreed that it was overpriced for what it was.

Well I donât think third time lucky here. After three owners, the place has deteriorated so much since the start. I have a review on the first owner, as excellent from coffee to food to service. Second owner I thought give a chance but it was below par. Tried again......and not a birdy in sight! Very poor eggs Benedict and coffee! Shall not waste my hard earned wages here again. I have only written three poor reports over the years but standards need to be adhered to. No one likes to throw their money to the wind Sorry but change your chefs ASAP and start again if you have the same chef from second owner rethink as that was their downfall.

Quaint laid back cafe. After a walk along shore front, this is a great place to relax. Go upstairs for view of the sea. Good coffees and a fruit salad bowl will fill you up after your walk. Afternoon tea stop with lemon meringue pie and coffee also a good idea. Dog friendly where you can sit out the front. Newspaper to read and time to just enjoy the fresh air. Thank you for your great review and we are happy you had a wonderful experience at our relaxing cafe. The team at the Beach Shack look forward to seeing you again soon.Regards from the Beach Shack team

The service was ok for the first five minutes, and thatâs the only positive thing I have to say. We waited almost an hour for our main meals which were cold, tasteless and just plain yuck. Currumbin is still a seaside village with a pristine white beach, relaxed lifestyle and a small local community. The Elephant Rock is an iconic part of this community, established since 1990, and having a complete renovation in 2007 to create a fresh invit
We happened to stumble across this little gem for breakfast whilst on our recent holiday. I ordered the âeggs bennyâand my hubby ordered eggs three ways. They were delicious. We were also very pleasantly surprised with our tasty coffee as my husband is a long black snob. The view was also pretty impressive- with all that ocean- and we suspect this cafe is a local favourite by all the clientele. A Currumbin must.

Offering chef prepared breakfast and lunch options, with premium Vittoria coffee or fresh juices.
Service was friendly but a little slow. Coffee was a bit on the bitter side but that could just be a matter of personal taste. The BLAT was very nice & big enough to share.HiThank you for your response. It is disappointing that you didn't enjoy your coffee, but as you suggest it could be a matter of personal taste. We make hundreds of coffees each day and have never had a customer describe the Vittoria Oro blend we use as bitter. On a positive note, we are glad you enjoyed your BLAT and we hope to see you back soon!
