No hairdryer, poor Wi-Fi, interiour very modern and chic
Reviewed By ElenaB18At first, positives: The room (in Boardinghouse) was close to the beach but not noisy. We stayed here for 4 days, the apartment was nice, big, very modern and chic. Both women at reception was very friendly and helpful. All equipment for cooking was clean and prepared. The next shop is quite close (Netto). However, there is several negatives: NO HAIRDRYER!!!! The hairdryer is already in 2* hotels, so we were very disappointed. No cleaning equipment. No mosquito-nets on windows (well, it was really a lot of mosquitos in the room!). What was for us surprising: the wellness was close (ok, this we understand-corona time, however, the Therme in Island was open,..), but the price was including wellness (no rabat). We were waiting for some small etcetera for this inconvenience-free ice cream for example, as on the bill was also one of the items: free entry to sauna and wellness. Well, we paid for it but cannot use it...And exactly this was a reason why we selected this hotel, nice sauna. Before the arrival, I checked also their webpage, and there was no info about closed welness. So, this was negative point for us.

Reviewed By Mette MVery nice and comfortable hotel. Superfriendly and serviceminded staff, nice and clean everywhere, the spa with pool also really good. Small quiet village (in early May), very good bikeroads with many alternatives for day tours.

Reviewed By tage hEverything was perfect. The staff, the service, the room, the cleaning. But ! We got a standard double room facing the main street - and what a traffic noise in the daytime ! It was enervating. The windows were brand new but might have been better.

Silvester in Glowe ist zu empfehlen
Reviewed By dasch1803Wir waren insgesamt 7 Familien mit Kinder und haben beide Doppelhaushälften über Silvester gemietet. Die Häuser waren sehr schön und modern eingerichtet. Zum Strand hat man es wirklich nicht weit. Zum Einkaufen gibt es dort gleich Netto was zu Fuß in 5 Minuten. Da gibt es dann auch gleich einen Bäcker und ein Getränkeladen. Im großen und ganzen kann man es nur empfehlen.

“What a lovely apartment near the Baltic Sea”
Reviewed By SydneyPerlaTHIS IS A REVIEW FOR THE APARTMENT “Ferienwohnung am Wald” IN GLOWE, RÜGEN! Tripadvisor connected it twice already with the wrong property. So, please be advised! Although we arrived one day too early we were lucky that our apartment was not occupied and we could move in prior to our actual arrival date. The apartment is in a house with 5 apartments in total. We lived in the so called "Nest" which is located on the upper floor (No lift; we didnt need one but people who have difficulties walking upstairs/downstairs might take the apartments on the gorund floor.) Location: Glowe is in the north of Rügen Island and a beautiful spot for trips around the island. The beach is loooooong and you definitely can relax. The apartment is a 10min walk away from the beach. Apartment: roof top, bed comfy, fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, fridge, small freezing compartment inside the fridge, oven, microwave, free wifi, big balcony, airer for hanging wet towels etc, 2 chairs on the balcony with a table and a sun umbrella for the shady moments :). Other facilities: a library with plenty of books (mostly in German), a sauna and - if you need - a washing machine. In the garden you can sit, too, and when you get there by car you have free parking. Downstairs there are many many many brochures of things you can do on Rügen. Brilliant! It is a really nice and quiet location. Landlords: very friendly and helpful. You can ask anything at almost anytime if you need help. We would highly recommend this apartment (we have not seen the other ones but THE NEST for sure) and if we had the chance we would certainly come back :) There is even a website (in German) you could use to see some of the apartments and the house itself: http://www.ferienwohnung-am-wald-glowe.de/index1.htm
